The interior design is extremely beautiful and original, with lots of eye-catching little details.
The breakfast is alright, but the Sunday Roast and dessert at the Restaurant were super delicious! Friendly staff.
The reception area is often crowded, too busy and quite cold, and the many really big dogs made us feel a bit uncomfortable.
Great location, nicely decorated, friendly staff. Lovely breakfast.
No lift, which we did know about before we stayed but it was hard going with our luggage.
The location the rooms and the staff were all friendly and helpful
No air con it was a very hot weekend
The staff were extremely friendly and the hotel /rooms were decorated to a high standard and with modern decor and clean throughout
There was very little to critique but there was no fridge in the room which would be helpful to keep drinks cool especially when warm
The breakfast was very good, continental and cooked, so a good choice. The room suited our requirements and was very clean and comfortable.
Very friendly and attentive staff.
Nil
The property is a great location and the free parking is good
Water pressure was really poor and with a window open, there is lots of noise in the early morning as the hotel starts to get ready for the day
Very comfortable night before big rat race event

Plastic glasses in bedroom
The hotel is beautiful. 5 mins walk from Bamburgh Castle. The Reception staff were very warm and welcoming. The bar & restaurant area were clean, modern, and all staff were friendly. We had a meal from the Bar (small bites) Menu. It was tasty and filling (steak sandwich with salad and fries). The hotel had big screen tv outside showing the tennis, so we sat outside with our drinks.
Our room was beautiful. Huge bed which was very comfortable. Decorated really nice. And very clean. Comfortable leather chairs. Had everything you could need iron, hairdryer, and fan. Tea, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was very tastefully decorated and the shower was amazing.
The cooked breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice. The staff serving breakfast were really friendly, smiling and chatty.
There is a private car park 2 mins away. We ailt got a space in there. However if the car park had been full, there is plenty of room to park the street right outside the hotel.
When we arrived and went to our room I was a bit concerned because it was on the ground floor, right on street level. I thought it may be noisy as there is a restaurant right across the street (with outdoor seating). . However this was not an issue. The restaurant closes at 9pm and we had no issue with any noise from the restaurant, the road or even the hotel bar, which was a short distance from our room. Its a lovely little village and we had a really peaceful nights sleep. We will definately be going again.
You cannot fault this hotel or staff. If I was being picky I would say the pillows we thin and could have been better. But people's preference differs, so other may find them perfectly ok.
I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great location
Room was lovely and clean
Super king bed with a super soft mattress
No fault at all but was a bit pricey!
