we had cycled 45 miles to reach the hotel, the room was clean and tidy the beds were very comfortable and the bathwater wonderfully hot. Food dinner and breakfast were great. Weather wet
the weather
Lovely hotel, nice food, room was clean, with a canal view.
Very peaceful
Great service, beautiful location, nice and quiet
Location
Handy location for croy station. Easy to get to glasgow or Edinburgh. Room was clean with comfy beds and a good shower. Staff were friendly and the food was good, especially breakfast. X
Decor was a bit dated and you could hear some noise from the corridors. But didn't spoil our enjoyment.
The staff were all efficient helpful and friendly. Food was excellent . Location very good. Lovely place.
Nothing really but missing one bedside table and disappointed no brandy in bar!
Lovely location , ideal for a birthday celebration overnight stay
Stood waiting for 25 mins on arrival . Waitress staff couldn't help us check in and the manager was busy with a client . Advise hotel to train up other staff to check in clients as after a long journey and reception area located at the bar it was a very uncomfortable long wait
We did not have breakfast
Location was good and quiet, however it was a wet and cold couple of days but I suspect in good weather the Boat would be a lovely busy place - restaurant was large and well laid out and very welcoming and the outdoor facilities for eating and drinking looked really good.
Although the accommodation was not what I would call “plush” - it was very clean and welcoming - only criticism was there was not a good light over a mirror - which is what most Ladies would like!
Location was superb. Room was clean and very comfortable. Food was lovely and the general ambience of the place was very nice. Lots of people out walking, horse riding, boating. The terraced seating was lovely to sit in the sun and have a nice cold beer.
A lovely setting for a hotel, staff were wonderful, room was comfortable and the food was excellent, our stay was so pleasurable that I am reviewing a group booking next year as part of our annual car tour in Scotland and the borders.
N/A
Breakfast was good. but it could do with a cereal/porridge and fruit.
Breakfast is good
Room is rundowns, carpet urgently needs to change.
The best thing about our stay, hands down, were the staff. Everyone was an absolute joy to interact with. We felt really welcomed.
The breakfast was great value and tasted amazing, too.
We booked a twin and one of the mattresses could do with being changed.
Staff were excellent helpful and friendly. Fridge in room
Our room the accessible room was tired
Bed was uncomfortable. No hair dryer. Disabled bathroom seat fragile Small sink and walls marked hardwood needed painted.
Nice scenery and food lovely staff.
We could hear another customer upstairs walking around and it was extremely loud which caused us disturbance at nearly midnight and the exterior door was very loud when closing which caused lack of sleep. There wasn't a hairdryer in the room just the end of the hairdryer.
