Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Pleasant and efficient staff

Small hotel in a village location. Staff friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Visit Shropshire each year and have struggled to find a decent hotel at a reasonable price until now. Will be booking again. 😃

Excellent food, hearty breakfast and delicious dinner. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room and bed comfy. We have stayed before and will stay again.

Clean and well situated for where we wanted to be

Lovely place to stay out of the way but adds to its charm and can easily get a taxi.

Room nice, clean and fresh. Nice location. Good breakfast and that it is included in the price is a massive bonus.
Bed is so comfy so thats the most important.

Either recently built or refurbished to a high standard.

Property was found to be very clean, Our room Ercall had every think needed for short stay, bathroom was very well appointed, clean and more than adequate, bar and restaurant area are excellent, having spent 45year in the construction trade I was well pleased with the high standards of finish in all the alteration work which as been done in converting this old inn into an welcoming hotel.
Tracey head of house is most welcoming, serving up a tasteful breakfast in the restaurant in the morning as-well as tending to the bedrooms , 5 start member of staff, didn’t get to talk to other staff other than to say hello, We found them pleasant and welcoming.
would highly recommend The Huntsman and hopefully will visit again soon.

Very attractive in a beautiful and quiet setting with a welcoming ambience

First visit back to the Huntsman after a few years, and great to see that everything is still exceptional! We enjoyed a 3 night stay, the room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and pillows and the usual tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good albeit not a wide choice - full English, toast and cereal but it was well cooked and tasty. We opted to eat at the Huntsman each evening of our stay, they have an excellent menu and I can thoroughly recommend the rib eye steak, and fish and chips. The staff are lovely, especially the lady at breakfast each morning - she was so friendly and a credit to the hotel!
The hotel is located in a beautiful village with nice walks nearby with the most stunning scenery, and within driving distance to visit places such as Ironbridge with its many museums, RAF Cosford museum, and a couple of National Trust houses and gardens.
