Property was found to be very clean, Our room Ercall had every think needed for short stay, bathroom was very well appointed, clean and more than adequate, bar and restaurant area are excellent, having spent 45year in the construction trade I was well pleased with the high standards of finish in all the alteration work which as been done in converting this old inn into an welcoming hotel.
Tracey head of house is most welcoming, serving up a tasteful breakfast in the restaurant in the morning as-well as tending to the bedrooms , 5 start member of staff, didn’t get to talk to other staff other than to say hello, We found them pleasant and welcoming.
would highly recommend The Huntsman and hopefully will visit again soon.
Nothing , if I was pushed to find and issue it would be the bathroom ceiling fan, it as seen its better days also overrun time is a little on the long side which may be and issue to other guests if as I did using the bathroom several times a night

First visit back to the Huntsman after a few years, and great to see that everything is still exceptional! We enjoyed a 3 night stay, the room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and pillows and the usual tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good albeit not a wide choice - full English, toast and cereal but it was well cooked and tasty. We opted to eat at the Huntsman each evening of our stay, they have an excellent menu and I can thoroughly recommend the rib eye steak, and fish and chips. The staff are lovely, especially the lady at breakfast each morning - she was so friendly and a credit to the hotel!
The hotel is located in a beautiful village with nice walks nearby with the most stunning scenery, and within driving distance to visit places such as Ironbridge with its many museums, RAF Cosford museum, and a couple of National Trust houses and gardens.

Lovely meal in the restaurant, tidy / comfortable room, fan in cupboard which gave us some fresh air as it was a very warm day.
Honestly, had to eat earlier than expected in the restaurant as the guvnor told us no more orders for meals after 6:30pm? Pub closed at 9pm?
The room was very warm, aircon would have been better than a fan (but at least there was a fan provided)
Breakfast advertised between 07:30 to 09:00am, but the guvnor wanted to know exactly what time we'd be down as didn't want the chef in too early if we weren't coming down, took the spontaneous side out of our opportunity to lie in out of the equation a bit, don't be too despondent though, it is a nice place to stay.

The breakfast was excellent. Ordered the night before, it was well prepared and very tasty. The room had everything that we wanted, was spacious, had a very comfortable bed and a good view from the window. We had an evening meal which was excellent with great choices from the menu.
