Pros:

Staff very friendly. Dinner was first class, delicious steak, all food was hot and well presented

The place is outdated and the rooms were basic. We could hear people on the loo next door.

Most of the staff were nice except one. The pool was good.

Cons:

The rooms were not ready at 4 pm (although it was supposed to have been ready at 2pm) and it seemed chaotic. There were many people still waiting for their rooms. The room was outdated, like stepping back to the late 80s. It was hot and stuffy and we could hear people on the loo next door. The woman (also dressed like she had stepped out of the 80s) on reception had an attitude and just seemed to hate her job. Maybe she was having a bad day but she made us feel unwelcome. The other staff were very nice though.

Nice place in general, but the lack of hot water might send me elsewhere next time.
Pros:

Excellent staff, fine restaurant, ample parking, quiet room (mostly 30db), convenient location.

Cons:

"Hot" water barely lukewarm - too cool for a bath. I had the same room in May, and told reception that the USB sockets were not working. A minor point, to b sure, but now, September, they still didn't work - poor maintenance.

Comfortable, relaxing and very enjoyable.
Pros:

The food was good and you could adapt the menu to what you liked.
The only two issues that could have made the stay better were, the TV reception was erratic and also our balcony stayed flooded as there was no drainage pipe.

A nice break in a quiet setting with amenities that we enjoyed
Pros:

Our room was really quiet as requested
The pool and spa are really good
Breakfast menu had a good choice and was flexible.
The dining offers were reasonable.
Having read other reviews I was slightly apprehensive, but we were pleasantly surprised and would rebook in the future.

Cons:

I found the bed (room 225) uncomfortable/hard and only a small double but I understand that mattresses are a very subjective thing!
The furniture and decor in the hotel, IS a bit dated, but it's clean and comfortable.
A bit overpriced....it's a shame you don't do more discount offers.

Pros:

Purpose was for Jurassic coast weekend trip, so location was very good. Roughly 15-20min drive from the majority of 'tourist' destinations. Rooms were nicely sized and there are plenty of facilities (albeit we didn't use them). Breakfast was plentiful with a wide range of options. Plenty of shaded parking spaces.

Cons:

As can expected in the UK, dated decor, facilities looked a bit rough/unmaintained, no fan in room despite heatwave, no toiletries other than towels (although this is the norm for most UK hotels, so not docking any points). Grounds slightly unkempt, but still a lovely space to walk around.

Good location with good facilities but in need of refurbishment
Pros:

Leisure pool, sauna, jacuzzi were all good and very welcome after a busy day

Cons:

Lack of a lift near reception.

Room facilities and decor was very tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. Very worn and grubby carpet, 1990s style bathroom, shower soap dispenser broken.

Apart from hangers in the wardrobe, nowhere to hang clothes or coats.

Apart from the towel radiator, nowhere to hang clothes in the bathroom.

Very limited breakfast items - no bread (apart from toast that came with cooked option) no pastries, no cheese or cold meats, yoghurt bowl empty and not refilled, tiny fruit bowl containg 1 apple, 1 orange and 1 pear, looked more like display only.. cooked breakfast by order only not buffet.

Good value for money probably won’t stay there again.

A really great place to catch up on some sleep before hitting the beach!
