Locanda La Pergola

The room was clean but had no style to it, very bland. The long hike up and down from Bellagio and the ferry. For some reason their restaurant was closed for our visit. Impossible to get a taxi to/from Bellagio.

Kitchen was closed other than for breakfast, but there was not a common area to bring your own food or drink and look at lake Como. Also there is no public transportation and the walk to town was very long, for anyone with disability. Taxis are impossible to get in Como.

The staff were not pleasant or welcoming & were not very helpful or informative. The restaurant which was advertised on their website was closed & we were not informed. The breakfast included in the rates was poor, choices were very limited, sometimes items were not replenished after only one hour & the staff started to clear it away 30 minutes before closing time. Directions to the property given by the staff included a steep staircase numbering around 90 wide & uneven stairs yet there are alternate routes which were not disclosed initially. Staff did not advise of nearby restaurants, saying that guests had to walk into town to find a restaurant.

The property has a lot to offer in terms of location, views & the building itself but customer service & communication need much improvement.

The breakfast was very basic. We were surprised to find that if you want something normally expected at breakfast, such as fried eggs, you have to pay extra and order it separately from the menu. There were two chairs in the room, but there was no table.

Leider war das Restaurant geschlossen, so dass es eine Notwendigkeit gibt die vielen Stufen zu laufen.
Frühstück ist ok- halt sehr italienisch-süß.
Keine 24 Std Rezeption-war ok, muss man wissen, keine Extras, alles sehr pragmatisch, sachlich orgganisiert

Although the staff were friendly and polite they were not helpful. Their answers to most questions was I don’t know. I forgot my headphones there and they were not interested in helping to ship them back. It’s really a shame because it’s a beautiful hotel with excellent views. The owner should encourage the staff to be more knowledgeable about the area and be friendly to the customer’s inquiries.

Eggs would be better free , parking lots in high season are limited yet there are private parking facilities

Pas de restaurant comme annoncé. Pas de cafetière ou bouilloire dans la chambre. Aucune convivialité.
L’hôtel a vue sur le lac mais pas près du centre comme annoncé il faut être en forme physique pour monter tous les escaliers. Pas de place pour se stationner. Les policiers font bien leur travail pour distribuer les amendes.

Pas évident pour personnes à mobilités réduite
La responsable pas sympathique du tout (il faut lui arracher un bonjour)
