Last minute stay
Pros:

Friendly staff and lovely food. This was a very last minute booking for a 1 night stay en route to Cornwall. A lovely find ... hope to return.

A charming hotel with a period feel and quirky interior layout. Guests are all made very welcome.
Pros:

Food was good, staff were lovely, beds were comfy, there was plenty of parking space.

Cons:

We were booked into the "cottage" alongside the main building. Sadly there was no hot water to the wash handbasin. This was reported.

Enjoyed my stay, even though there was a shower problem which I overcame anyway. Would recommend the hotel
Pros:

The friendliest staff I’ve ever met. Nothing was too much trouble for them
Good food. Comfortable bed. Very clean everywhere.
Could walk up to Dartmoor via lane next to hotel.

Cons:

I couldn’t use the shower as it was over a bath. There was no bath mat to prevent slipping and no grab
Handle for safety. ( I’m. 85 and not so agile).

Good quite place, nice services, few opportunities.
Pros:

Stuff was nice behavior and the breakfast was amazing. I would recommend peo who likes quite place they can definitely stay there.

Cons:

Accommodation facilities was very tight. Roof top was hit me three time as it wasn’t high enough. Shower tub was broken, i was scared to take shower. Specially i saw a spider walking arround there also.

so ein herrliches Hotel, danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.
Pros:

wir waren schon begeistert, als wir ankamen, so ein tolles historisches Haus. Die Zimmer haben uns auch begeistert, wir fühlten uns, wie in eine andere Zeit versetzt. Es war alles überaus sauber und gemütlich. Vielen Dank für das leckere Frühstück. Wir kommen gerne wieder. PS leider hatten wir keine Gelegenheit, weil wir 3 kleine Kinder dabei hatten, den gemütlichen Pub unten drin zu nutzen. Wie gerne hätten wir dort abends noch gemütlich ein Bier getrunken.

Absolutely loved our stay here and will recommend and hopefully will return.
Pros:

I loved absolutely everything about our stay here. The staff works incredibly hard - the food is just fabulous and the accommodation is so comfortable. If you would like a stop over that is authentic and in keeping with the surrounding area, this is for you. Super value and a great choice.
