Pros:

The staff were fantastic, welcoming, friendly and personable. The location right on the beach was great we could hear the waves from our room. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge range of options including, a hot food station where food was made to order, fruits, salads, and baked treats made on site. We had a lovely relaxing stay.

A beautiful hotel with an outstanding staff, but a few improvements would make the experience even better.
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Without a doubt, the biggest highlight is the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming and always willing to help. Whether we needed a taxi, assistance with our bank card or help finding an excursion, they always did their best. A special thank you to the whole team – they really made us feel welcome.

The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful and very well maintained. Our room was spacious, spotless and comfortable, with hot water, complimentary drinking water, coffee facilities and a nice private terrace. Housekeeping was excellent, and every evening the staff prepared the mosquito net and sprayed mosquito repellent, so we were barely bitten during our stay.

Cons:

There are just a few areas that could be improved.

The hotel is quite isolated. This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it takes around an hour to reach most attractions, so if you want to explore Zanzibar, you’ll need to budget for expensive taxi rides.

Breakfast was decent but offered very little variety and unfortunately we didn’t enjoy the dinner menu. The music during dinner was also far too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation.

The laundry service was much more expensive than expected (around $65 for one basket), and the clothes were simply washed and returned without much attention to detail.

The beach in front of the hotel didn’t match our expectations. Because of the tides, the sea is very far away for much of the day, so it wasn’t the ideal place to relax or swim.

Finally, we think reception should be available a little earlier in the morning. We needed a taxi at 8:00 a.m., but there was no one at the reception desk to assist us.

Overall, we believe this hotel offers good value for money. The property is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere, and with a few improvements it could be an even better experience.
Most importantly, we would like to thank the entire team for their kindness, professionalism and outstanding service. They are truly the hotel’s greatest asset.

Pros:

We had such a great time at Zanzibella! The whole experience was fantastic, but what really stood out was the staff. The service team was super attentive and made sure to constantly check in on us to see if we had everything we needed and if we were having a good time. We truly felt well taken care of and had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Cons:

If we really had to nitpick, we noticed that the pool bar was left unattended at times, so you couldn't order anything right away. Also, the room had a slight drain smell, mainly in the mornings. However, neither of these things bothered us too much or ruined our stay in any way.

Enestående hotel med fantastisk service
Pros:

Virkelig smukt hotel med en skøn frodig have fuld af blomster og tropiske fugle, en dejlig infinity pool, lækker pool bar og rigtig god restaurant. Hotellet ligger lige ud til havet. Personalet er fantastisk og virkelig servicemindede og engagerede. De vil gøre alt for gæsterne, har man indtryk af. Værelserne er store og lækre med altan ud mod haven. Fantastisk morgenmadsbuffet. Lækkert fitnessrum med den smukkeste havudsigt.

A wonderful, Unforgettable experience.
Pros:

The place was central to most activities around the island, as such it was easy to move around. The hotel staff is superb, very kind, very courteous. They truly made us feel very welcome. The saying that goes “people always remember how you made them feel”, we truly wont forget how the people at Zanzibella made us feel. The amenities, including all the complimentary one’s at the hotel are also great, plus the Spa (Edna was wonderful). The rooms are spacious, toilet is separate from the bathroom which is convenient (everything you see on their pics is exactly as is). Another note worthy good experience is the room service every night for pest control (to keep mosquitoes out).

Cons:

There is very little I didn’t like. But the one thing is cats (I am not a fan of 4 legged animals), however they are well mannered and I managed to exist cordially with them during my stay.
