Our group rented 5 of the 6 available rooms and we were welcomed as family.
Pros:

Highly recommend. Sīmanis hotel has a rich historical and eclectic character with every room being unique! Large common area for evening get togethers. Many amenities: free coffee, tea, waters and mini fridges. Excellent location, just one block from the main street, minutes from the Rumbla and a short walk to downtown Kuldiga. Delicious breakfast available right next door.

Pros:

Amazing restoration of a beautiful historic building into a one of a kind boutique hotel. Close to everything but far enough away to be private and serene at the same time. Wonderful!

Cons:

I could have used some cutlery for tea and coffee purposes, and the fridge was quite loud at night. I didn’t have many cold items , so turned it off altogether.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

The character of the building and attention to detail in it's restoration. While modern amenities are in place it still feels old and atmospheric. Beds really comfortable. Huge breakfast next door for 13 euro.

Short trip to Goldingen
Pros:

Kuldīga is regular destination for me. I was thinking that I know a lot about places where to stay there. This is new and excellent discovery for me. It’s not a hotel only, it is a house with history. Nice book available to read about building transformation to hotel.
On top of all mentioned-excellent breakfast provided in restaurant building next to the hotel.
Recommend this place for travelers looking for safe, comfortable stay with excellent service.

Kaunis, viihtyisä majoitus historiallisessa ympäristössä
Pros:

Yhteydenpito hotellin henkilökuntaan sujui helposti WhatsAppin ja sähköpostin välityksellä. Saimme ajo- ja parkkiohjeet kuvan kera. Meitä oltiin sovitusti vastassa hotellin edessä. Maksuton autoparkki on iso plussa. Hotelli on aikamatka menneisyyteen, mutta samalla nykyaikainen varustelultaan. Yleisissä tiloissa ja huoneessa on rustiikkinen kaunis sisustus. Huone on siisti, puhdas. Viehättävät ruutuikkunat olivat kirkkaat ja puhtaat. Tilava ja tukeva sänky, erittäin miellyttävän tuntuiset vuodevaatteet. Raikas huoneilma. Ilmastointi helteellä oli välttämätön!! Suihkutila moderni ja suihku toimi erinomaisesti. WiFi toimi hyvin. Yöt olivat käsinkosketeltavan hiljaiset. Erittäin miellyttävä kokemus historiallisessa ympäristössä.

Viesnīca ar dvēseli, kur piedomāts pie katras detaļas un var redzēt visu to enerģiju, kas tajā ir ieguldīts. Ļoti īpaša vieta!
Vienīgais, ka priecātos par nokļūšanas un mašīnas parkošanas precīziem norādījumiem, kas būtu palīdzoši.

Esam Kuldīgā bijuši vairākkārt un katrām naktsmājām ir bijis savs šarms, taču Sīmanis nu būs mūsu favorīts - jau no pirmajiem soļiem, kur pārsteidz katrs stūrītis! 🤩
Var uzcelt no jauna, taču mūsu acīs daudz lielāka vērtība ir šādām vietām, kas “izceltas” no drupām un atjaunotas ar lielu cieņu un pietāti pret vietas vēsturi. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Pros:

Characterful property in the charming town of Kuldiga. Lots of wooden beams in this thoughtfully restored building.

Cons:

Little touches missing : no spoons for teacups, no full-length mirror despite lots of wall space. Also the woman checking us in neglected to give us the entry door code.
