Very convenient location. Nice room. Good food. Friendly staff
Room was very clean
Breakfast was excellent
Woken at 6am by the room above each morning you could hear them walking across the room and opening and closing doors.
With exception of one staff member the staff did not come across as friendly service without a smile.
We had a discount voucher and wanted to use it at the end of each evening to settle our bill however they transferred it first day to our room and said they were unable to reverse the action and we could not use the voucher once it has been put onto the hotel bill - very annoying
A beautiful old pub with comfortable rooms and friendly staff in a great location.
Weak Wi-Fi, a noisy road near my room, no fan on a hot night.
No instruction on WiFi which also operated the tv sound very low unable to turn the volume up
Friendly staff . Great location off M6 . Traditional pub and restaurant with good food . Beds very comfortable and rooms clean stylish and all facilities were perfectly
Nothing
Everything! Very nice inn and pub.
The only thing I can say is that the UK is not prepared for heatwaves... There was no air conditioning and the rooms were extremely hot.
The staff arranged for a fan but the country really needs to think about the new weather, consequence of the climate change.
Beautiful period property in a great location. Great staff, great food. Good value.
The room was stiflingly hot and only a small fan provided
Nous avons beaucoup aimé le style et l’ambiance de l’hôtel. Les repas y sont très bons et copieux (dîner et petit déjeuner). Le personnel est très accueillant. Très bon point d’étape dans notre séjour
Location is good as its not far from the motorway.
Most of the tv channels didn't work, no hair dryer, it was advertised as a double but it was more like a small double than a standard.
Couldn't open the windows adequately to cool down the room and the fan that was provided had little to no effect on the room so room was very warm.
Cottage room is what we was given but it is not a Cottage in the normal sense but more a converted stable.
The put the tv on the wall behind the room door so had to have door closed to view tv.
Bedside light didn't work
You could hear every step the people in the room above took
You have to walk through the beer garden seating area to get to the rooms where people sit with dogs.
Room main light is very dark and doesn't really light up the room adequately.
Carpark for rooms is pothole heaven.
Everthing
All good
Atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Also lovely premises
Nothing
Comfortable and good value rooms.
Pub has a nice atmosphere and the food is good.
I'm not so keen on the rooms on the annexe at the back of the hotel... bit smaller/noisier. But this time I was in the main building.
The decor was nice and the pub itself was lovely - I have been there previously for food and it is wonderful, but the hotel was not great.
The room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. I am aware I stayed in a heatwave, but the windows barely opened and there was no fan provided to cool you down. Ended up having a shower at 1:30am to try and cool down, the room was uncomfortably hot. There was also no view from the windows, they were frosted and looked out over a very poor looking area, which I did not expect as this was not described or shown. Lastly, there was a lack of storage for bags and little hanging space. The room needed some decor tlc as it looked a little tired, although the bathroom was nice, clean and well presented, though it could definitely fit a bath and shower!
Location, breakfast, great staff.
Room was very hot which is understandable with current weather but perhaps invest in some free standing fans to alleviate the problem.
The cleanliness was superb
The room was like an oven and the tiny fan did nothing to alleviate the heat and it would have been a lovely gesture to put a bottle of water on arrival I the room in view of the weather
Great food and lovely pub. Bedrooms very clean and comfy beds. I’ve stayed several times now visiting Sandbach which is 8-10 mins drive away. Very good value for money
Nothing other than it was a bit warm when we visited but fabs were in our room.
