Cons:

I would have given a completely different review but for two things: the window hardly opened (fortunately it was a cold night - I would never stay there in summer) and the deposit of £100. I don’t object to this in principle though advance warning would have been good. But having checked out on May 9th, I am still waiting for it to be refunded.

Pros:

Comfortable room, central location.

Cons:

A little noisy, though to be expected in city centre on a Saturday.
Breakfast a little miserley. 1.5 small cups of tea each, the £5 for a second pot.

Avoid at all costs!
Pros:

The location is ok.

Cons:

Well, let's start from the beginning. I booked and paid the room for 2 people. However, I wasn't made aware that not only the property required a "damage deposit" but it would not accept payment by phone. You have to carry a plastic card! So, my friend who arrived well in advance of me was not allowed to enter the room, even more, he was told he couldn't sit in the lounge waiting for me to arrive. All that because he didn't have a plastic card to pay for this deposit. Eventually we had to book him into and IBIS close by. When I arrived in the early hours of the morning, I paid that "damage deposit" of £100 and was allowed to check in. Well, what a surprise.C*m stained carpets in the room, filthy bedding and absolute scum everywhere. £100 damage deposit? There was no way I would stay in this sh*thole if you paid me £100. What an utter dump! This was a month ago and as of yet I have not had a refund of these £100 deposit. Utterly shocking! Avoid at all costs.

Location

Cons:

Room, pillows (too old), itchy bed, we had to put the kettle on the floor to boil water due to the location of electric outlet as well as charging mobile.
