Pros:

Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Die Haltestelle fürs Postauto befindet sich direkt am Hotel. Der Bahnhof der Matterhorn-Gotthard Bahn ist fußläufig oder mit dem Bus zu erreichen. Der Balkon ist sehr gut. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Frühstück ist einfach aber ausreichend. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden und kostenfrei.

Cons:

Das Einchecken an einem Sonntag Nachmittag war seltsam. Auf dem Tresen der Rezeption lag ein Zettel mit meinem Namen und der Zimmernummer. Es war niemand da. Bis ich diesen Zettel entdeckt hatte, war ich ziemlich ratlos. Als ich abends vom Essen in Visp kam, konnte ich nicht ins Hotel. Dafür ist ein Code nötig, den ich aber nicht hatte. Nach einem Telefonat wurde er mir dann schließlich mitgeteilt. Das war sehr schlecht.

Als Zwitserse treinen liefhebber was het leuk dat de trein naar en van Zermatt door de achtertuin reed.🤗

Dekbed was te dik voor de zomer en niet heel comfortabel.

good place to stay 1 night
Pros:

very large room, top clean, good wifi...and despite hotel is located between main road to the valleys and the railway track, we did hear much noise (of course if you open the window it may be a bit different). 1 big bottle of sparkling water provided free in the room. Staff is very welcoming and breakfast was just excellent. The rate we pay is very reasonable to Swiss average prices.

Cons:

1 have only one complaint but not that much important when you stay 1 night. The TV channels were 100% in German, not even Swiss national TV in French/Italian. No international channels outside German language. This should not be for a multilingual country.
