The surroundings on the estate were beautiful. Eating dinner and looking at the mountains with a water wheel cascading into a pool….Fabulous.
The pathways were studded with large rocks which could be a problem except this natural environment were part of its charm.
Staff was friendly
No signs for parking
Spa wasn’t the best
No aircon in the rooms
Great location, great facilities and staff went above and beyond to give us advice on where to visit as well as accommodating all requests.
Road access through the property and to the car parks is a little tight
A very relaxing place, perfect for recharging the batteries
Stunning location. Staff friendly and extremely helpful. Food excellent.
Hotel is quite expensive for quite a small room but we were there on a bank holiday. Quality of the rrom was lovely, but small.
The location is stunning.
The spa is excellent.
Friendly staff with a lovely welcome.
Nice bar area with good service, good drinks and food.
More of a holiday village than a hotel. I was a bit disappointed in the room. Very little to beautify it or make it either homely or stylish. No mini bar/fridge, which meant drinking water provided was flat and warm. Nowhere to chill any of your own drinks, though I was given an ice bucket when I requested it. The room was on the ground floor with a big window, but right outside was the pedestrian walkway so you had to keep the blinds shut. It would also be nice to have some seating areas around the grounds.
Everything
Nothing
The location- very beautiful . The rooms were lovely
The pilllows were soooooo uncomfortable. I had a bad night sleep both nights Becuase the pillows were so big and hurt my neck
The Langdale Hotel and spa is in a great location in Ambleside very peaceful and very tranquil.
The bathroom was dirty and covered in mould.
Absolutely stunning place to stay, unfortunately only had one night but will definitely be back, facilities were top notch, food was all Absolutely perfect
Don't have a single complaint
Excellent location, staff very nice and helpful, lovely bar area and breakfast
Thought the room was nice but a lot for 460. Also mentioned it was our honeymoon and didnt get any gestures
The 'Stove' food.
The hard pillows
Excellent location for walking
Staff very friendly and helpful
Facilities on site where amazing, lovely Stove restaurant and local pubs within walking distance
Will definitely stay again
Maybe a small sitting area outside our room to enjoy the views, but this maybe down to my room choice as there were lots of different accommodation options available
It was cosy decor and the staff were attentive
The shower in the bathroom was too low, my boyfriend was bending his back to get under it.
The staff should make you aware at check in that the spa is £85 per person. We had to ask about the price and was only told £85, nothing mentioned it being per person.
There should be loungers around the main pool.
