If you want to stay in a fabulous central location then this hits the spot.
It's an authentic Dutch canal house experience. After reading some other reviews I think that the expectation from some guests is of a homogeneous hotel experience, and it definitely isn't that, but that's what makes it so special.
The decor is beautiful and very much in the modern Amsterdam style. The location of the property is incredible; centraal station is a few minutes walk, 10 minutes to Dam Square.
The owner was welcoming, allowing us to check in early and holding our bags for a few hours after check out.
Despite being on a busy canal street we found our souterrein very quiet. The side access is well lit and feels secure. It was a bonus being able to leave the hired fat bike here overnight. The beds are comfortable and we found the apartment had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. No shortage of towels, kitchen well enough stocked.
Marie Stella Maris fragrance and toiletries were welcomed. They smell wonderful!
Really very little. Minor points like a couple more hanging hooks in the bathroom would be helpful for drying out a wet bath mat.
The bed pillows could maybe do with an upgrade as they were pretty soft (but that's also personal preference!)
In the bedroom it smelt a little 'closed' when we arrived so we made sure to keep the bathroom window open for ventilation.
Lovely friendly host. Accommodating in relation to check-in and out times. Spotlessly clean. Room 2 was like a little oasis at the end of the day...cool and no noise from the street. 5 min walk from Amsterdam Centraal. Would stay again. The sink in the shower was a quirky design feature but the mop worked perfectly. We loved our stay.

Tolle Lage (8 Gehminuten vom Hauptbahnhof) und charmanter Altbau direkt gegenüber einer Gracht. Stilvoll eingerichtet, sehr angenehmer Raumduft. Ausreichend Wasser und Handtücher auf dem Zimmer. Viele Cafés und Restaurants in der direkten Umgebung.
Keine klassische Rezeption, kein Frühstück, für Lärmempfindliche Personen könnte es etwas zu hellhörig sein. Die gegenüberliegenden Zimmer, mit Fenster zum Innenhof, sind sehr einsichtig. Das Licht im Bad war etwas zu dunkel, um sich zu schminken.

Very comfortable and spacious room, just a short walk from the train station but on a calm canal with nice restaurants nearby. The host was very responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend
The location was great. Very good communication with the host. They offered lots of information about the good restaurants and what we can do in the Amsterdam.
The value for the money we paid was not very satisfying. It was very noisy.
The location was perfect, I was able to comfortably walk to the zoo and botanical garden. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable.
The location was located very near Central Station, a few blocks from Dam Sq. and steps from Nieuwmarkt Sq. There were plenty of restaurants, cafe/bars and coffee shops nearby. Trams were readily available at Central Station just down the street. The room was comfortable with coffee pods provided. The owner was very responsive in her communication and availability for assistance or information. There were plenty of towels and soap/shampoo. THe windows in our room were large and let in plenty of daylight, with room darkening drapes. The beds and seating were comfortable.
I prefer more light in the bathroom, especially above the sink. A small set of shelves under the sink would be useful.
The location was great - just a short 10 minute walk away from Centraal Station for the Eurostar, Metro and tramlines. The double room was very comfortable and it was lovely to have a view of the canal - tea and coffee provided were very welcome as a start to the day . The property is just a short walk away from cafes and restaurants. Communication was very efficient and friendly - thank you for all the recommendations. We had a fantastic first trip to Amsterdam and would thoroughly recommend staying here.
O quarto é bem grande, confortavel e muito limpo. O atendimento do dono foi super simpatico, nos deu dicas de locais proximos para comer e atividades para fazer. A localizaçao é maravilhosa, bem no centro historico, com acesso facil a restaurantes e mercados a pe.

Central location, only a short walk to Centraal station.
The location was great, a 6 minute walk from the railway station. The bed was really comfortable. Lots of hot water. Good WiFi. Great hosts.
Nothing really but if we stayed again I would take some instant coffee.
