Pros:

They aren’t meant to be a luxury hotel and that’s what I love about it. It has a lot of charm and makes me actually feel like I’m staying in Europe again versus a hotel that can be set anywhere. They also had the best drinks I’ve ever had. Excited to stay there again!

A good place to stay for 1-2 nights. Staff was helpful and very friendly.

lo mejor con diferencia fue la extrema amabilidad del chico de recepción, un chico joven que está durante el día y de Katy,
la chica que estaba durante la noche. ambos son personas maravillosas y super dispuestas a ayudar.
solo por esas dos personas merece la pena ir a este hotel. repetiria sin duda.
la ubicacion es fantástica también.

Cuando llegamos nos asustó un poco todo. Me mejor dicho, nos asustó mucho!!
Lo primero que la recepción fuese en el bar, lo segundo las escaleras, nos tocó el ultimo piso. escaleras empinadísimas en las que tienes que poner el pie de lado porque no cabe entero. fue un shock.
De hecho nunca habíamos estado en un hotel así y nuestra primera idea fue, aun perdiendo el dinero, cambiarnos a un hotel convencional. Habíamos reservado este hotel porque queríamos vivir la experiencia de alojarnos en pleno barrio rojo, y los buenos comentarios nos convencieron.
Al llegar y ver aquello casi empezamos a dudar de la veracidad de los comentarios que escribe la gente. pero luego lo entendimos.
En el barrio rojo todo son casas antiguas y ese tipo de hotel es lo normal allÍ. No existen ascensores y las casas no se pueden rehabilitar porque están protegidas.
Le dimos una oportunidad y nos quedamos la primera noche porque estábamos cansados del viaje, con idea de cambiarnos el segundo día si seguíamos pensando lo mismo. Pero nos quedamos.
Y he de decir que a pesar de que durante nuestro viaje por Paises Bajos y Flandes nos hemos alojado en muy buenos hoteles, y este se salía absolutamente de los estándares a los que estamos acostumbrados, es el hotel que nos llevamos en el corazón.

Great stay
Pros:

Fantastic location! Couldn't be a better location close to all the bars and restaurants. The room was great although pricey as I wanted a large room looking over the canal. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I liked the fact they keep hold of your room key when you go out of the hotel saves you losing it and when you return they give it you back.

Cons:

The bathroom was a tad outdated and had a slight plumbing smell but couldn't fault the cleanliness at all. The stairs are rather steep so I would advise checking before booking.

Pros:

First of all: what pleasant, accommodating and helpful staff! I ran into a problem that they helped me solve without any fuss. The hotel is a small, cozy place in a very central location; the standard is basic but perfectly fine.

Cons:

Thank goodness we only had hand luggage—no heavy bags to carry up steep stairs 😅

In pieno centro di Amsterdam stanza comodossima e spaziosa, non indicato per tutte le famiglie
Pros:

è in una posizione molto centrale, la stanza era molto spaziosa ed il personale molto gentile. Si raggiunge tutto facilmente a piedi.

Cons:

Non è un problema di questo hotel, ma di Amsterdam in generale: è eccessivamente costosa. In bagno si trova l'essenziale: una saponetta minuscola, ma poco o niente altro.
Infine, dovrebbe essere specificato nella descrizione che l'hotel è in pieno quartiere a luci rosse. Per noi non è stato assolutamente un problema (mio figlio ha 7 anni, non si accorge neanche della "stranezza" del posto e comunque non ci facciamo particolari problemi), ma per altri famiglie potrebbe essere complicato spiegare ai figli dove sono finiti a dormire :)
