Traumhaftes Resort in schönster Lage!
Pros:

Sehr schönes, gepflegtes Resort mitten in den Drakensbergen. Traumhafter Ausblick von der Terrasse. Super Wandermöglichkeiten. Sehr zu empfehlen sind auch die Reitausflüge.

Cons:

Stimmung seitens Personal ist für mein Empfinden zu unterkühlt. Sonst gibt es nichts zu beanstanden.

Beautiful remote hotel in mountains
Pros:

A beautiful remotely located hotel built on the mountainside with many hiking trails in the valley and over the ridge with views to Royal Natal National Park. Three nice meals a day were offered, and the standard room we had was lovely. Staff were helpful.

Cons:

We found the staff were very helpful, but as friendly as we'd experienced in other nearby establishments, which can sometimes reflect the culture of the business. Tihis is not a complaint about the staff themselves as they were helpful and attentive.

Hi the bacon was not great with the breakfast , seemed a bit tough and bland.

Cons:

The room had old spilt drink on the side tables , and there was a used tooth pick on the floor in the TV section

Pros:

Heel fijn om elke dag activiteiten te hebben wandelen en ander activiteiten. Het is ook fijn dat het allemaal inbegrepen is. Ook het eten is geweldig. Goed verzorgd en met veel fantasie. Al ben er meerdere dagen het is altijd een variatie op het menu. We waren er 24 jaar geleden ook geweest maar de standaard was nog steeds even hoog.

A wonderful place. I hope to be back soon.
Pros:

The location is great, very close to the Amphitheater and with very nice hikes starting at the property. There are daily walks organized, very nice horse stables and the horse rides were nice. The food was excellent and the dinners were really very good, each night that we spent there. From the starters to the desserts. This was a real pleasure. The SPA is also set in a very relaxing environment. The staff makes you feel at home and the common areas are very nicely set with a room for reading, a room for games, the cave for drinks etc. It was my preferred place by far in the Drakensberg and we truly relaxed. Thank you Cavern team!

Cons:

The horse rides should be better organized. I participated for example to an intermediate ride where a beginner who was afraid participated and was even afraid to trot. The person should not have been cleared to participate.

It was an excellent break in spite of the weather, and I enjoyed the company of the hotel cat!
Pros:

The meals were tasty and well presented. There was plenty of variety and vegetarians were catered for.

Cons:

I can't fault the hotel but some of the guests let their children run riot.
