Nice room, terrible staff and customer service.
Pros:

Great place, but the customer service was terrible. A hotel cant work on looks alone, meanwhile the property might be nice on the outside without a good service its just not worth it.

Cons:

I was traveling for work for my travel agency, needed a spot on El Remate due to the close location to my client's hotel. Three issues with this hotel, their post says clearly that there is parking on premises and also street parking is available, both options didnt work. The first is out of the way, I had to go through a cementary by myself during the evening to reach the hotel, second, the street option, there was no spot that fitted an SUV.
I arrived at 7pm, ive been on tours the whole day, wanted some dinner and a place to relax, the rude front desk guy told me that food was only with a reservation. WTF, you clearly mention a restaurant option in your info. Then I needed wifi to finish work, the "fabulous wifi" that is on the hotel info is clearly not correct, the only area with wifi is the dinning room which wasnt available since they only work with reservation. Had to drive for about 10 min away to get some food.
Lastly, which is the most important part of it all, when I mentioned my issues to the property manager, their answer, at 10pm of the evening was, no apologies, nothing, just a short "I can give you your money back". Where was i suppose to go at that time in the evening? Sleep in my car? The same car that wasnt even properly park outside?? They dont care at all about customer service. Our agency will red flag this one and not recommend to our clients and associates.

Pros:

L'emplacement est incroyable, dans un village perdu au mileu de la forêt, avec un gérant des plus adorables qui de plus cuisine très bien ! J'ai passé un superbe séjour avec une visite de Tikal et les singes hurleurs juste au-dessus de ma tête durant la nuit passée dans une jolie cabane. Je conseille mille fois de faire confiance à cet hôtel !

Beautiful place with the Mosquitos as the only downside

The place and surroundings are exceptionally beautiful, nice and close to the lake but far enough not to hear the street. The room is a little house, very very pretty. Beautiful huge and comfy bed with a pretty looking and almost working mosquito net. The personnel is super nice and when they washed our clothes they even folded them and put the socks together with is a sweet detail.

Cons:

Our biggest problem was the lack of a mosquito net in front of the big open "window". like this in the morning and evening we cannot put on lights or the (many!!) mosquitos come in. This is a rather easy thing that should absolutely be improved. We also found the price of the washing to be twice as high as in previous hotels

L’emplacement du bungalow avec les sons de la jungle autour!

Le personnel très chaleureux et à disposition pour donner des informations sur les horaires des collectivos ou nous organiser une navette pour l’aéroport à 05:30 du matin,…

Nous avons mangé sur place le soir, le repas était très bon

Le lac de Petén à proximité (pas directement accessible depuis l’hôtel)

Cons:

Il n’était pas possible de régler la température de l’eau dans la douche.

Very good value for money, clean and spacious bungalow
Pros:

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and were overall satisfied with the great value for money.
Our bungalow was clean and spacious, which we really appreciated.
The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

The main issue was the curtains. There were curtains, but they were very thin and didn’t provide enough privacy. As our bungalow was on the ground floor, anyone outside could see inside at night when the lights were on.
Sound insulation is also poor. If you have noisy guests staying above you, it can quickly become a problem.
We were lucky the first two nights, but on the third night a VERY noisy family with two kids woke us up several times.
Finally, the hotel is a bit far from the city center (about 20 min. walk).

Le personnel était réactif et nous a aidé à organiser les activités que nous souhaitions faire (visite de Yaxha et Tikal).
La chambre et la salle de bain privées étaient très propres, considérant que l'hébergement est dans un boisé. Nous avions accès à un hamac privé.
Très calme et bien aménagé. Literie confortable.
Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le restaurant de l'hôtel, compte tenu de son éloignement du centre de El Remate (1 km). La nourriture était très bonne. Il faut prévoir 45 min entre la commande et le service, mais le personnel nous avait gentiment prévenus.

Ein kleines Paradies
Pros:

Posada del Cerro ist ein kleines Juwel am Lago Petén Itza. Es ist nicht fern von Tikal und am Rand des süßen und quirligen Ortes El Remate. Es ist klein, persönlich und familiär. Es ist für Gäste die Ruhe in der Natur suchen mit leckerem selbst gekochtem Essen und ganz lieben Menschen.
