Great spot to see the beautiful elephants walking with their mahoot to the water pools to bath, we were above them on our balcony but chose to follow to the water to see them washed down and get a chance at freedom for an hour

They are close to where the Elephant way to the bathing river. You cn,watch from the balcony.

It’s in an amazing location sitting at breakfast watching the elephants go by or in our room on the balcony

リバーサイドのホテルも素敵ですが　私は象の行進が見られる　このホテルが大好きでした　象が可愛く一生の良い宝物が出来ました
スタッフさん達も優しくて　親切でした
部屋も清潔でした

This was in a prime location for elephant viewing. They start the parade during breakfast whilst you’re seated downstairs - they just march straight past a few metres away, and the herds are brought up and down past the hotel all day till 4pm (check the orphanage web page for the times, it’s like clockwork). You can stand on the balcony, sit in the cafe part or just stand out front. The hotel was simple but clean, AC worked, showers decent (so many water outlets!), breakfast was good. Staff lovely of course. If you arrive earlier than 4 - call the hotel and they will tell you the back road in (to avoid the elephants on the Main Street). You may be told you cannot access the area till after 4pm. Also avoid anyone here who tries to get you to go to a herb garden. It’s a scam. Beware of being asked for a tip to have your photo taken with an elephant. A keeper may line you up for it then ask for a tip. This is not allowed and should not be encouraged. Tell them you have no cash on you and they should walk away. They do have a bunch of elephants to get back to the orphanage after all.

Very nice place with friendly staff and a nice breakfast. Unfortunately no elephant bathing when I was there, but the room had a very nice balcony with a great view.

We stayed at this property for one night; the room was clean and equipped with air conditioning. Lunch and dinner were exquisite! Nilang, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and kind. He provided us with plenty of information and suggestions for our trip to Sri Lanka! We highly recommend this hotel and, above all, this wonderful person.

The owners are definition of perfect hospitality, they helped us with everything and were very friendly and nice to us. I got a small infection on my foot from surfing and they took met to the doctor, where they waited with me, to make sure I am OK. Truly amazing people here

The location is fantastic. The hotel is situated right along the route where the elephants walk to the river, so you can watch them directly from your balcony.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the air conditioning worked well. I also appreciated the flexible check-in time, as I arrived earlier than expected and the staff did their best to accommodate me.
