Not the most attractive street but the hotel was fine for 1 night with a good breakfast
Pros:

Check in good, they had a map of Daugavpils, room was clean, bed comfortable, breakfast was good. Easy walk into town plenty to see. Restaurant Gubernators well worth visiting quirky with good food bit of a walk but worth it.
Hotel was fair costing €69 for a superior double room and breakfast.

Cons:

Entrance to parking off the main road a dual carriageway very tight. There is another entrance to the car park at the back not listed but much safer. Room had stairs going up into the room off the stairwell with a dangerous gap in the room. Room was hot AC did not reduce the temperature, so needs re-gassing. Barking dog next door so open windows a problem, next to Belarus embassy and a few doors down from maximum security jail the Swan. Shot tower closed for renovation

Good value stay in the city
Pros:

Welcoming staff. Convenient location 15 minute walk to city centre, near main road if going by car. Clean rooms, easy layout, good shower. Nice breakfast buffet with variety of salads, main dishes, tea, coffee, etc.

Cons:

The hotel is right at a major road, so it may be noisy for sensitive people, I had no issues with it.

Einfache Unterkunft
Pros:

Auf einen Mangel in unserem Zimmer wurde uns anstandslos ein neues (besseres) Zimmer angeboten.

Cons:

Das einfache Doppelzimmer kann man wirklich niemandem empfehlen. Da trügen die Fotos auf Booking.com doch schon gewaltig!

Good for motorcycle groups.
Pros:

Good and safe parking for the motorcycles, in the courtyard. Very space room for 3, with its own small kitchen.
Good and helpful staff.

Cons:

A sauna would be a nice bonus.
