Lovely short distance out of town with country views! Lovely cared for building and generous sized room with large ensuite!
We arrived one evening to find our room door open and toiletries piled in a mess on a shelf. We immediately were concerned about our belongings. Obviously housemaid had been called away mid clean but forgot to return. Not great, but extremely apologetic management and all was well. Nothing stolen thank goodness!

Quite which was good safe parking for motorcycle.
Know facilities for evening meal
The room was very large, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. There was a huge very comfortable bed. A very big bathroom with a bath and a big shower cubicle
We stayed here so that we could visit Puck Fair in Killorglin, which was absolutely exotic for me (I live in Singapore). We only got one evening in Killarney, and we used it to stroll the town's charming Main Street. Kathleen's Country House is a very well-furnished, cozy setup with helpful staff, and a great breakfast.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious, with excellent service. A great place to stay.
No complaints
Nous avons passé une première nuit dans cette guest house au début de notre périple , nous avons eu la chambre 12 qui n'est pas au niveau d'un 4 étoiles comme l'indique l'établissement : chambre exiguë, vieillotte , donnant de surcroît sur le côté route sans parler du matelas d'un lit en 140 très inconfortable !
Le second passage dans la chambre 9 totalement renovée à l'arrière de l'hôtel fut calme avec un espace beaucoup plus grand ( chambre et salle de bain ) et 2 lits confortables
Le petit déjeuner propose un bon choix de plats servis à l'assiette par un staff efficace

Große Zimmer, sehr ruhig gelegen. Beim Frühstück gute Auswahl und es war sehr lecker!
Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Dachfenster, das defekt war. Es ist so weit aufgegangen, dass wir es bei Regen nicht über Nacht geöffnet lassen konnten.
A very clean property which is obviously very keen to reach high standards. Parking is well planned with plenty of spaces available. There were sound choices at breakfast and everything was well presented.
The bedroom was very cramped with poor sound insulation. The general approach was pleasant but somewhat impersonal.

The room was a fair size, bed comfortable, bathroom good.
The venue advertised itself as being a tranquil retreat - it actually lies on a very busy and dangerous main road into Killarney. Had we known we would not have stayed there. Also, the host cut corners with breakfast, and with minor features.
