Lovely guest house just outside Killarney. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, even showing us to our room. Parking was easy. Modern bathroom and shower refit was great!
Rooms are not very sound proof and we could hear the couples staying either side of us talking loudly the whole time.
We stayed only one night in Kathleen's Country House but we really enjoyed the place: it's very well maintained and cleaned and it's only 8 minutes drive from the town centre. Beds were extremely comfortable.
The only downside was the breakfast: portions were very small and insufficient to make us feel full and the menu didn't include Irish breakfast.

Purtroppo molte cose: struttura datata,camere da rimodernare (si nota che una parte delle camere è stata ristrutturata ma a noi non sono toccate le camere nuove),odore di umido alla reception e odore ancor peggiore nel corridoio delle camere al primo piano, odore come di gatto,forse per via della moquette ovunque,pavimento sfondato e tende macchiate in camera,materasso imbarcato al centro, colazione limitata, a pochi metri da una strada a alto scorrimento... Prezzo forse adeguato a killarney che è cara ma non adeguato a ciò che viene offerto.Deludente
The room was comfortable and had benefited from recent refurbishment. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The team was incredibly courteous and pleasant.
There were strange impractical handles on the inside of the bathroom door that kept coming off. Mugs would be better than teacups on the tea tray. The hot part of the breakfast came out whilst we were still on our (delicious) fresh fruit salad - it would have been more sensible to cook this when we had finished the first part, it made breakfast seem somewhat rushed through.
