Pros:

The location is awesome with a view of Mount Kinabalu from some of the rooms and also the restaurant. The bathroom has a hot water supply. The room is clean.

Cons:

Located next to the main road so it might be noisy at midnight. Also, the path to the lobby is steep. One needs to be careful.

Great location
Pros:

The location is beautiful and very close to Kota Kinabalu Park. We enjoyed going for morning hikes to the park every day.
The little cafe was quite good; the cakes and pastries tasted fresh.
The room was clean, and the table on the balcony was a nice detail.

Cons:

The restaurant has a lot of room for improvement. The menu is very short, and the prices are quite inflated for what you get.
The service is also quite bad. On the last morning is was only the 2 of us and a big table. (around 10 people) in the restaurant. We had to wait 1 hour for the big table to get their dishes, one by one...

The room has only a small window at the top of the balcony door, no curtain so at night all the light from the front of the hotel gets in all night. It makes the room very bright and there's nothing you can do.
The walls are also paper thin; we were lucky that the first 2 nights there wasn't anyone next door, but on the last night guests came in, and you could hear a pin drop, so annoying!

Misleading views, multiple bugs found in the room, and a disappointing response from the hotel.
Pros:

The location was decent, but the overall experience was greatly impacted by major discrepancies with the room and hygiene issues.

Cons:

The room we received did not match the online listing photos. The booking page advertised an open balcony view, but our actual room directly faced dense, overgrown trees that completely blocked the scenery, as shown in balcony right.jpg, balcony left.jpg, and balcony front.jpg.
More importantly, we discovered multiple bugs throughout the room during our stay—including a bed bug on the bed sheets, a bug on the headboard, and another insect on the bedding, all documented in bugs found in room.jpg. When we brought these hygiene concerns to the hotel's attention, they denied the issue and did not take appropriate action to resolve it.

A truly magical place with delicious food!
