Comfortable
Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was lovely, we had eggs royale and asked for extra beans and mushrooms. The beans were the best I have ever tasted.
Stayed during a heatwave. The air on works great.
Location to Liverpool city centre and Docklands if fantastic for a night out and sightseeing.

Cons:

We were on the 3rd floor in a room that had a window that was totally useless, luckily it did not overly concern me. However, we were woken early by what sounded like barrels being delivered. The shower had no pressure, although there was plenty of hot water.

While everything initially felt very clean, there were a few areas that stood out during the stay as could be cleaned better. The shower screen could do with a proper clean had soap scum down one side. The main area was the headboard which was hidden by pillows and not noticed until the morning. It had stains of unknown origin which left me with a yuk feeling.

Would stay again
Pros:

The bedroom and en-suite were both good. The breakfast the following day was delicious and the late check out and luggage store was a bonus as our train home wasn't until late afternoon, which gave us a chance to visit Liverpool Cathedral
