Meifod Country Hotel - 10/10 experience
Pros:

There was nothing not to like about our stay, other than we'd like to have stayed another night or two. Hostess Lillian was so welcoming and friendly, the property itself, in the very best of ways, was like stepping back in time. Classic interior decor, a wonderfully spacious room, the most comfortable four-poster bed, a delicious filling breakfast...
We stayed somewhere on Anglesey the day after, for slightly more money and it was so, so sterile by comparison. Too clean, too modern, too small and too expensive. Oh for a 2nd night at Meifod...
We knew that the shower in the bathroom was handheld only, so that wasn't an issue for us at all but could be for some. As long as you read the reviews, you'll be fine 🙂
Absolutely loved our night here and I hope you like it as much as we did.

Really pleasant stay, beautiful house in quiet location, very friendly owner who gave us a free upgrade. Go to the local pub and enjoy listening to the lively conversations in Welsh

Pros:

The property itself was lovely, grounds a big and we did have a look round. It’s a very relaxed environment.

Cons:

The floor boards were really creaky so woke me up when someone went to the loo in the night. It was a hot night so possibly a fan for the room would be a good addition.
