Jättefint hotell, dålig service.
Pros:

Jättefin omgivning. Hotellet var också jättefint. Baren var bra. Bra städat.

Cons:

Sängen var hård. Jättedåligt tryck i duschen. Vi fick vänta på maten i 1 timme. Ingen ursäkt från personalen.

Absolut einzigartiges Hotel!
Pros:

Einzigartiges Hotel, wenn man alte Häuser / Schlösser mag. Super Frühstück. Einfach eine aussergewöhnliche Atmosphäre!

Cons:

Ambiente im nachträglich angebauten Restaurant passt nicht zu diesem Schloss.

Great Hotel in Lovely Grounds (Room 315)
Pros:

The room (315) was large and had great views out if the 4 large windows. The bathroom had a bath and walk in shower, towels, dressing gown and slippers were provided complimentary.
The hotel was clean and had lovely grounds. It had a gym and indoor pool, jacuzzi and steam room.
It also had a games room with a full size snooker table and a darts board. The reception seating area had lots of couches and tables with complimentary games for use such as draughts, chess, monopoly, scrabble, connect 4 etc
There are also tennis courts and a pitch and put (this is a bit of a walk and we didn't use this as it needs a bit of attention to the upkeep as the grass was a bit over grown, however this may be due to the time of the year we visited early May
There are some nice walks within the hotel grounds you can do one recomended is Black Spout waterfall.

Cons:

For anyone with disabilities the Hotel sits on a hill so if you want to walk into Pitlochry there are a lot of steps and a steep hill.
The hotel does offer a free courtesy pick up and drop off to and from the train station in Pitlochery, this needs to be pre-booked with the hotel reception.

Disappointing given the price
Pros:

Location and gardens.

Cons:

Interior is tired, hotel was way too hot. The communixation was poor. The spa was not value for money and the treatment was disappointing.
Would not stay again.

Pros:

Macht was her, ist aber doch schon in die Jahre gekommen…
Das Foyer & der Ausblick vom Frühstücksraum sind sehr schön.

Cons:

Unsere Zimmer waren nur mit Treppe zugänglich - keine Info, wir standen mit den Koffern plötzlich vor der Treppe, der Aufzug ging nicht bis ganz oben!!! Geht gar nicht !!!
Ausstattung des Zimmers & Frühstück passt nicht zum Preis!

Beautiful hotel with very comfortable beds.
Pros:

The hotel was beautiful and the grounds were amazing. The room was large with a very comfortable bed. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the museum in the lower level of the hotel.

Awesome, friendly staff and great food at restaurant.
Pros:

An amazing place to stay. Everything about this stay was brilliant, plus walking distance to Blair Atholl distillery for whisky tasting.
View from hotel incredible and gardens were lovely too.

Spoilt by rude receptionist.
Pros:

Beautiful location and grounds.
Drinks in bar reasonably priced and staff there lovely.
Food amazing in the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. Staff there also very good.
Enjoyed the museum and learning the history of the place.
Room spacious and comfortable.

Cons:

One member of reception staff who had absolutely no customer facing skills.
Even when we actively avoided her at reception she still had the lack of manners to interject in to our discussion with another receptionist to be sarcastic. Not impressed.
Also coffee machine in room, whilst this is the in thing now, I have taken to travelling with instant coffee just to get a mug of coffee in the morning.

Historic hotel in the center of natural beauty
Pros:

Spacious rooms, gorgeous gardens and adjacent walking paths in the woods (even a pitch and putt short course), and the hot breakfast buffet was delicious. Bonus was the historic aspect, grand entry, and the interesting museum that detailed the hotel's long history. Parking included, and a short walk to the town of Pitlochry.
