Attended a good wedding - very disappointed with breakfast
Pros:

Breakfast shockingly bad. Food was so cold it was inedible. I was told it could be microwaved as a solution.
On the Sunday mildly better as it was lukewarm as opposed to cold certainly not enjoyable. Buffet area was a disgrace with so many empty cereal cartons lying around. Heaven knows what tourists thought of Scottish hospitality !,

Grosshotel im Schloss-Hotel-Mantel
Pros:

Das Zimmer war eher klein und von der Ausstattung eher alt und verbraucht wirkend. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Im Restaurant gab es nun die Wahl eines 2- oder 3-Gangmenues mit beschränkter Auswahlmöglichkeiten.

Cons:

Von aussen wirkt das Hotel sehr schön und vielversprechend. Im Innenbereich war der Eindruck eher "in die Jahre gekommen". Wir hatten ein Schlosshotel mit einer gewissen Atmosphäre erwartet. Schlussendlich war es lediglich ein Gross-Hotel in welchem das Personal und die Atmosphäre eher kühl und unpersönliche rüberkamen.

Peace and quiet in the heart of Scotland.
Pros:

A great location for a hotel as it is in the countryside yet walking distance to the town. Very peaceful with the large gardens, mature trees and ample parking. The hotel itself exceeds the four star rating it as excellent.

Cons:

Everything as great. If we had to have a small complaint it would be the slow service in the bar and restaurant but we were in no hurry.

The hotel itself is fantastic but the restaurant experience let it down.
Pros:

We stayed in a turret suite and we would definitely recommend this room. The views from the turret were fantastic and the room was quiet and peaceful.

Cons:

We had dinner in the bar on our first night and dinner in the restaurant the second night. If returning we wouldn't choose the restaurant. The food was ok but there was country and western music blasting out of the speakers and we had to ask to be moved it was so loud. The staff were efficient but not very friendly and we weren't even asked if we would like a coffee at the end of our meal. We should have opted for the bar area again and saved a chunk of money.

Great location and lovely big rooms
Pros:

It’s in a great setting just a short walk into town. Large rooms and a fantastic breakfast

Cons:

Felt the staff all seemed rushed/under pressure and not very proactively engaging. Rooms a little dated

Atholl palace still has that old world charm lost with some of the newer hotels
Pros:

Located near town also gardens are beautiful but those steps killed me lol

Cons:

Not a lot to dislike only thing would be tv in room could be at eye level not so your cranking your neck upwards 🧐

Won’t be coming back I’m afraid!
Pros:

Location is amazing and hotel has so much potential!

Cons:

Disappointed with food, poor quality breakfast. I had to ask 3 times for brown bread. Some staff were friendly but others quite blunt!
Room was a bit shabby and there were spiderwebs . The whole hotel seems tired.

Ruhig gelegen, hübsches Flair, toller Bllick beim Frühstück!

Cons:

Leider sehr in die Jahre gekommen und nur teilweise aufgehübscht. Es wäre nett, wenn man bei den Gängen und Fluren und insbesondere Treppen Hilfe beim Gepäck bekommen würde! Bitte bietet das an! Es ist definitiv nötig! Der Wellnessbereich sollte unbedingt auch überarbeitet/gepflegt werden.

Definitely worth the stay!
Pros:

This is a beautiful property and hotel. The grounds are beautiful and were great to stroll in the afternoon. We only stayed for one night, but after being there, we wish it was longer. They have a wonderful spa area I could be very comfortable in!
