Once good value for money, but now overpriced and uncomfortably hot.

We stayed here for the fourth time during TT Assen, but unfortunately this was by far our worst experience. The reasons are twofold. First, we understand that this is a very basic accommodation, and that has never been an issue for us. However, over the years the prices have increased dramatically. When we asked about this, we were told it was due to a pricing system that automatically raises rates for all hotels. In our opinion, this simply follows the trend of excessive price inflation that has become common in the Netherlands. The current price for such basic accommodation is simply unreasonable. Yes, taxes have increased, but certainly not enough to justify these rates. Second, during an extreme heatwave, the hotel didn't even provide simple mobile fans in the rooms. As a result, the rooms became unbearably hot, turning the nights into a miserable experience. Considering the prices being charged, providing at least a fan should be the bare minimum.

Für eine Nacht ok. Aber preisleistung nicht genügend
Pros:

Gut gelegen. Nette Leute. Sauber

Cons:

Keine wirklichen Möglichkeiten das Zimmer abzudunkeln.
Unser Raum 110 war direkt beim Eingang und allgemein sehr hellhörig. Denke die Zimmer ab 200 sind da besser geeignet.

Good place, easy to manage everything

The check in is very easy with the automatic way. The location is perfect. Correct description.

Even though the description is correct, the furniture is too poor and this way we didn’t feel so cozy.

Pros:

Gemütliches Zimmer, schöne Unterkunft, Gemeinschaftsräume waren top. Kühlschrank für uns ein echter Benefit (heiße Sommertage, Reisen mit Kleinkindern). Lage ist super, Nähe zum Park, Restaurants, Shopping, Innenstadt.

Cons:

Wir waren an einem sehr warmen Tag in Groningen, da war auch das Zimmer ordentlich aufgeheizt und mit offen Fenster ist die Straße natürlich laut. Das sollte man wissen.
