Pros:

A lovely neighborhood near the park; the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Before checking in, I contacted the hotel's support team via Booking.com. The first message I received from the hotel was in English, which aligns with the brand's standards. However, all subsequent replies were exclusively in Chinese, despite my request to communicate in English. Etiquette dictates that if a guest writes in English, the hotel should reply in English-especially an international hotel chain.

Good
Cons:

The booking was a pay at property booking. But the hotel charged me the whole amount upfront and when asked said that it was a block that they had done. A block cannot be the entire amount. I found that stranger. Before checkout they did reverse the block but it serves no purpose to book a ‘pay at the property’ booking if they want to charge it to you in advance.

Kindly clarify so that there is no such situation in the future.

Thanks and Regards
Ameya

There are better options avilable in Guangzhou for the price
Pros:

The staff are pleasant and the beds are comfortable, but there is not much else to like about this hotel, there are better options around for what you pay

Cons:

I have been coming to this hotel since 2019 and it is starting to look sad. Since Covid reopening I think they have pivoted to a more local market. The signage in the lobby area is tacky, the breakfast options are limited to average and the whole place is just looking very tired. Also, there are no room safes
