Comfortable and quiet accommodation in a beautiful location. Good food and very friendly staff.
Pros:

1) The layout of the various rooms in the main building and the furnishings were superb and quite in keeping with an old inn.
2) The staff were very friendly and keen to please. For the evening meal, the chef was amenable meeting my vegetarian request by serving up a cheese and mushroom omelette, chips and side salad. This was really pleasing as the other vegetarian options were limited and not so interesting.
3) Lovely tasty breakfast with good variety.
4) The car park was nicely located near to the rooms.

Cons:

1) In terms of dark ales, there was quite a limited range (just one). Although advertised on a board, the Old Speckled Hen was unavailable.
2) Being at the "end of the line" (room 14), hot water to the shower took some time to flow through. This was a little frustrating, but also wasteful in terms of water (probably used one showers worth of water in the wait)!

We really enjoyed our overnight stay. The evening meal was excellent and the staff were efficient and friendly.
Pros:

A lovely little place to stay whilst on our way to Weymouth. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming.

Cons:

We were allocated a very spacious room with bathroom with all the usual essentials. There was also an outdoor pool which was very inviting on a hot summer evening. A very pretty place to stay with a babbling stream running through the grounds.

Perfectly fine but over priced for standard
Pros:

Location was the driver for booking. We were attending a wedding locally. Room was clean and comfortable

Cons:

Room was very dated. For the price we paid I would have expected something a bit more premium. Would also expect more in terms of the tea/ coffee tray. Biscuits and bottled water are included with most places these days but not here. Breakfast was disappointing for a vegetarian diner. Not much variety and a far smaller portion than the meaty option. I do get fed up with the assumption that I don’t have a healthy appetite just because I don’t eat meat.
