A delightful stay where I was able to combine work & play! I would have liked to stay for longer!
Pros:

A delightful privately owned pub/hotel. Friendly greeting on arrival and all staff excellent. The bedroom was a little dated but had a rustic charm! Supper and breakfast was very good but the bonus was having an outdoor swimming pool and plenty of outdoor seating! A very peaceful setting.

Sarah is a great host, we can’t recommend enough
Pros:

The property, the pool, the staff, the food, the location, everything is fantastic. Great for coeliacs!
I would thoroughly recommend

Cons:

No aircon if really hot, there is a fan in the room, but we also took a fan to have one each). It was 32 degrees when we were there, this shouldn’t put you off going.

Overall a pleasant stay.
Pros:

Friendly staff who were helpful and accommodating. We really enjoyed the use of the pool, which was great as very hot days!
We used the pub for our evening meals and the food was good. Breakfast nice also.

Cons:

The room we had was quite small and configuration of dresser awkward to navigate round. I wanted a shower and was shown that room but in hindsight should have looked at one we were supposed to have but it was upstairs as feel may have been better and have items stated in the room details . Comfortable chair/chairs in room would have been nice.

Nice overnight stay
Pros:

Check in was simple - Sarah is a great host and personally showed us to our room. Our room (No6) was a large suite with the added bonus of patio doors overlooking to pool. There is also a large bathroom with whirlpool bath and separate walk in shower. Lots of storage within the room. The outside areas are clean & tidy with ample seating throughout. Good sized carpark to the rear as well as parking to the front. There is barely any mobile signal through the Piddle Valley, but the free guest WiFi is very good throughout the premises. Staff are attentive and helpful. Location is perfect for those wanting a quiet overnight stay with country walks on the doorstep.

Cons:

Breakfast time is very rushed with breakfast only available between 8.30am - 9.30am. The result is a little "Faulty-towers'esq" with running out of teapots, side plates, glasses etc. The staff did their absolute best to cope, but their stress, and the comfort of some guests, could be easily avoided by extending the timing - certainly over a weekend? Unfortunately, this wasn't the relaxing Sunday morning breakfast we expected to enjoy. The breakfast room is also fairly cramped and it would have been nice to have had the chance to sit outside for breakfast as the weather was perfect. Having said this, the breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious when it arrived.

Cons:

The person who dealt with us (admittedly we were early just trying to find out where the pub was perhaps due to the extreme heat rather unfriendly. The main staff later particularly the manageress was extremely helpful.

Friendly local with rooms and a pool.
Pros:

We enjoyed the swimming pool for a cool dip on a warm evening. The staff were all very kind and helpful, even bringing us dinner in our room when my husband hurt his back.

Cons:

Unfortunately our room was too hot because the bathroom window wouldn’t open, and the bedroom window opened onto stairs which seemed dangerous so we only opened it a crack.

It's not worth £150 per night but the staff are lovely.
Pros:

Great location. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The cooked breakfast was ok but very greasy. Only cereal, no fruit, cheeses or meats if you don't fancy a cooked breakfast.

Cons:

The rooms feel tired and could do with an upgrade. Only one pillow each and one cushion between two. You need to ask for a fan and an iron. When the pub is closed, the reception is too, so if you do need anything, you'll need to call. To their credit, the staff are super wonderful.
