It was a pleasure to stay in this historic place.
Pros:

The staff was friendly and helpful (taking my luggage up the stairs for me). The breakfast was tasty and didn't disappoint. The hotel has a wonderful garden which is a place for disabled adults to work and learn. One "warning" for tall people - the hotel / house was built long a time ago when people were not so tall. Just "mind your head" and you'll be fine. The history of the hotel is interesting be sure to check it out.

A excellent place to stay!
Pros:

Friendly welcoming staff, lovely old building, secure parking, nice breakfast and easy access to Eastbourne town centre.

Cons:

A second pillow on the bed would be a huge bonus!

An interesting and quirky building but in need of major refurbishment as a hotel.
Pros:

Friendly staff, yes and coffee making facilities in the room together with complimentary bottled water, freshly cooked breakfast.

Cons:

Fabric of the place very run down; stains on the carpet, chipped paintwork, wallpaper coming off the wall. It needs major refurbishment.

Very clean and friendly. Good value for money.

Very good full breakfast. Very convenient locality for my visit and good value for money.

Cons:

The only issue was that the shower wasn't very powerful and was a bit hit and miss with hot water.

Pros:

La struttura, che forse ispirò George Orwell per la sua "Animal Farm" (e per ciò solo meriterebbe un punto in più), è rilassata e confortevole malgrado il lodevole rispetto per la sua funzione originaria. La posizione è favorevole rispetto al percorso costiero Portsmouth-Dover, in particolare per visitare la suggestiva Battle (o scendere alla vicina Eastburne). Inaspettatamente, nei presssi ci sono diversi ristoranti.
Buona la colazione e comodo il letto.
