One of the best views of the Caldera
Pros:

This is easily one of the best hotels on the island. I stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, which features amazing views of the caldera. You can see almost the entire island from here, stretching from the lighthouse on the east side all the way to Oia on the west.
The room was extremely clean and beautifully decorated with plenty of character. It also has a second balcony with windows overlooking Imerovigli, Fira, and the rest of the eastern side. It is an incredible spot for photography, especially with the church tower and blue dome nearby.
Perched at the top of the hill, the room feels very private. You have your own balcony, sun loungers, and a heated outdoor bathtub that fits two people. The setup is completely secluded; unless the staff stops by for daily chores, no one can see the tub.
The receptionist was also very kind. She took the time to tell me about the island, shared great recommendations, and suggested daily itineraries for my stay.
Hotel is at the top of Imerovigli, therefor has lots of stairs in and around the town. But the walk path is just in front of the hotel which has the best route to both sides of the island. for example, It is around 2 hours to walk to Oia. 30 minutes to Fira.

WOW WOW WOW!
Pros:

We were blown away by Altana! The service is on another level.. I’m speechless. A porter welcomed us and carried our luggage. We got welcome drinks and a room upgrade! At check-in we chose what we wanted for breakfast and what time to be delivered to our room. The hotel also has a bistro for drinks and food and a small infinity pool with few sunbeds available to all guests. There you have direct view to sunset! But what impressed us the most was the location it’s absolutely peeeeerfect! The famous Blue Domes that everyone comes to photograph are right next to you.. could it be any better??
Thank you to entire team for all they do four us to have such an amazing stay with Altana! See you again!

Exquisitely maintained, historic feel , quiet and private despite being a tourist attraction for blue domed churches.

Cons:

All aspects of the property are on point so I am splitting hairs - there were no additional blankets in the room - this really wasn’t an issue at all!l. One was bought to the room immediately!

Soggiorno meraviglioso, tra comfort, vista mozzafiato e massima disponibilità dello staff.
Pros:

Staff super disponibile e gentile, sempre pronto ad aiutare. La struttura è molto pulita, in una posizione davvero top, comoda per raggiungere facilmente le principali zone dell’isola. La stanza che avevamo era molto bella e confortevole, con piscina privata pulita e una vista meravigliosa. Buona anche la colazione: comoda, funzionale e organizzata in modo intelligente anche per evitare sprechi.

Nulla in particolare, il soggiorno è stato davvero piacevole e all’altezza delle aspettative.

Absolutely loved having delicious breakfast brought to our room every morning with a beautiful view! Naya was very helpful, in one morning she was able to help us plan out our day, got us a car rental, then reservations for lunch down in Ammoudi Bay and then reservations at Venetsanos winery! It was one of the best days of our honeymoon!

Boutique hotel with some of best views in Santorini
Pros:

Boutique hotel with exceptional views at highest point in Santorini. Quiet location. Nice small Brasserie. Helpful staff whose restaurant recommendations were spot on. Nice small rooftop pool with views to cool off. Overall a good choice.

Cons:

For those with very young children or elderly who don’t like many steps this would not be a good choice. Pool has no safety glass barriers with big drops. The hotel is down small lanes from Imerovigli centre with quite a few steep steps. The plus is it’s quiet and the views right round the caldera from Oia to Fira are truly exceptional.
