Important information:

Please be advised that the restaurant will be closed from November to March on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from April to October on Wednesdays.

There is no half-board available on these days. The room price without half board on (Tuesday) Wednesday is taken into account.

Guests who booked the half-board option should note that dinner is only served from 18:30 to 20:30. If you are not able to arrive during this time, please inform the property in advance. Otherwise a refund is not possible.When booking half board, note that drinks are not included.

Tolerable but not worth repeating.
Pros:

Room was described as a “Suite” with a lake view and separate living room up to 40 square meters.
This is deceptive since the room was basically a normal hotel room size of at most 30 square meters and not a suite. The lake view was over roof tops and barely visible and did not justify calling it a view.
Dinner was included however the cooking was terrible. Chicken extremely overcooked as was almost every dish and very over salted. “ Vitello Tonato” was an attempt by a chef who has no idea how the sauce should be made.
Location and surrounding services was excellent and staff pleasant but I would not return due to the restaurant.

Familienunternehmen mit Engagement und Freude dabei, um ihre Gäste glücklich zu machen.
Pros:

Jeden Abend gab es ein 4-Gänge Menü, dass jedesmal vorzüglich geschmeckt hat. Das Hotel wird von einem Familienunternehmen geführt und alle sind voller Leidenschaft und Freude an der Arbeit. Wir haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt.

Ein schnuckeliges, familiengeführtes, schönes Hotel.

Sauber, stilvoll, zuvorkommend.

Es war recht erholsam.

Cons:

Kleine Punkte die uns nicht so gefallen haben waren:

Eher lauwarmes Wasser im Pool. Für mich eher zu kalt.

Sauna auch bei schlechterem Wetter erst ab 14 Uhr. (Zur Verteidigung des Hotels, nein wir haben nicht gefragt ob man sie auch schon eher anmachen könnte)

Und die Lage war zu Fuss recht abgelegen. Was wir vorher nicht einsehen konnten, war, dass man nicht wirklich eine Art Weg zum spazieren am See hat.

Das Hotel Torkel ist ein Familien-Vorzeigehotel wie es im Bilderbuch steht. Sauber, gepflegt und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Altes mit Neuem hervorragenden umgesetzt. Unser Empfang durch die Junior Chefin hätte nicht freundlicher sein können. Ein wunderbares Frühstücksbueffet, mit frisch zubereiteten Eiern, versüßt den Start in den Tag. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht und wurden abends mit einem Gruss aus der Küche verwöhnt. Anschließend folgte ein leckeres 4-Gänge-Menü. Die Speisen wurden auf sehr schönem, geschmackvollen Geschirr liebevoll präsentiert. Begleitet von Weinen, die uns Somelier Bernhard empfohlen hat. Herr Bernhard überzeugt durch sein fundiertes Fachwissen und seine überaus empatische Art und Weise. Einfach nur toll! Wir hatten auch das Vergnügen die Senior-Chefin kennenzulernen und auch sie hat das Herz auf dem richtigen Fleck. Von Anfang bis zum Ende hatten wir einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Hotel Torkel. Die persönliche Ansprache, aber niemals auch nur mit einem Hauch von Aufdringlichkeit, wird in diesem Hotel gelebt. Daumen hoch!! So geht HOTEL. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Alles Gute und Liebe weiterhin.
