Nothing not to like
Very good
The shower in the bath
Excellent dinner
Our bedroom was rather small for the amount of money paid as was the bed
Wentbridge House is a wonderfully charming country hotel, surrounded by beautiful grounds that give it such a peaceful and quintessentially English feel. Our room was particularly lovely, incredibly spacious and overlooking the gardens, which made the stay feel all the more relaxing. The hotel has plenty of character and was a beautiful setting for our time in Wentbridge. The only small downside was the late checkout policy, as extending checkout by just an hour and a half came with an additional £30 charge, which felt a little steep for such a short extension. That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the hotel comfortable, charming and beautifully situated.
Went for a wedding. Really lovely location and rooms are really nice

Wentbridge House is our favourite hotel. The rooms, the staff, the food, the location are all excellent.
Nothing!
A huge thank you to the team at Wentbridge House Hotel, for a wonderful day this week, when my family celebrated my sisters special birthday.
I had visited a few weeks earlier to have look around at where our party might be seated; on that morning had delicious bacon sandwiches and coffee in the pretty lounge. I was greeted warmly and shown around by a very helpful young lady from reception, so I knew the venue was going to be perfect for our forthcoming family celebration.
The welcome from the young lady at reception was so nice, friendly, yet professional; my apologies that I can’t recall her name to say thank you.
We chose to sit at the garden patio as it was such lovely weather; it’s a beautiful space and very well presented.
We had booked afternoon tea as the Summer Menu looked delicious!
Two of our party ordered Proper Afternoon Teas, and this request was happily accommodated. We were looked after by Beth and Spencer whilst we were there; I must comment that they were excellent ambassadors for Wentbridge House. Smiling, friendly, and attention to detail whilst setting our table and placing the food; so easy and relaxed, yet again professional; even though the hotel was busy both inside and outside, nothing was too much trouble for them both. A special thank you to them; it honestly made the day for my sister.
The Afternoon Teas were delicious! beautifully arranged and the content was extremely varied. Another thank you to the talented Chef(s), it was much appreciated.
A Happy Birthday small plate for my sisters’ special birthday offered by the hotel was a perfect finale to what had been a lovely indulgent day, spending precious family time together.
Thank you so much to the team at Wentbridge House; we made precious family memories and loved our day!
Very clean and luxurious accomodation.

Great Venue, made very special by its staff. I've recently got married and had my wedding reception at Wentbridge House Hotel. What an amazing location and setting for a wedding. If I had my time over, I would definitely choose Wentbridge House Hotel again, so glad we chose it for our reception. The hotel is situated in a quiet little village and has a folly in its grounds which was great for photos. What makes this particular venue spectacular is it's staff. When planning our wedding, the staff at Wentbridge House Hotel were absolutely amazing, they are not just lovely people, but nothing was too much trouble for them and they were so focused on ensuring our day was very special. They didn't just accommodate everything we wanted (eg special food requirements they'd never done before) but on the actual wedding day they took time to fix issues that had occurred with other suppliers to make sure our day was amazing, going above and beyond. I can't thank the staff enough for making our day so special. Special thanks to Karen and Johnny who made the reception a joyous occasion, Karens personality is so bubbly that you can't help but smile and feel really welcome, and Johnny played some great tunes to dance to and even played tracks he'd never played before, at our request. Special thanks also go to Matthew on reception, who was so helpful, not just on reception, but he also went the extra mile to ensure I arrived at the church for the wedding, when there was issues with the wedding car we had hired. He also checked that I had transportation back to the hotel after the wedding had occurred. This leads me on to the General Manager - Catherine, who helped out with the car hire problems and arranged complimentary drinks whilst I waited for alternative transportation, she even covered reception whilst Matthew was helping me out. Throughout the whole process of organising the wedding, Nicola Guest the operations manager was very approachable and helped us to arrange our perfect day, nothing was too much trouble for her and she always responded quickly to all our queries. I'd also like to thank the bar staff, Britanny, Maddison and Matthew; Chloe who organised thinks behind the scenes; the Chef who created an amazing croquembouche and the rest of the reception staff who were all so helpful. Without all these people our wedding day would not have been as special and we wouldn't have so many fond memories of the wedding day, made more special by all these amazing people. For future couples looking to get married - yes there are some nice venues in the area, but go take a look at Wentbridge House Hotel, it has a little bit of extra finesse that the other venues don't seem to have. The people who work there are amazing and they will do all they can to make your wedding day fantastic in every way.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Wentbridge House Hotel on 19 July 2026. We stay here quite often throughout the year to visit our daughter and grandchildren. We were delighted to be upgraded to a fabulous suite room overlooking the garden. The location is perfect for our visits to the area and the calm atmosphere and warm welcome is always a pleasure to experience. The rooms are clean, well furnished and equipped. The meals in the Brasserie are always exceptional.
Location close to family who live close to Ackworth.
Breakfast good - coffee nice n hot.
Able to charge car at premises. Could gather family outside my daughter’s room whilst grandson asleep. Iron and ironing board available . Very comfortable bed. Outside service on patio - although a little slow.
Nobody on reception when we arrived - had to find .Travellers could be offered tea and refreshments on arrival prior to check in. Help with taking bags to room would be appreciated. Restaurant objected to seating our family together for celebration despite doing so on a previous visit.
With 17 people in our party many of them staying with you, a family discounted rate would have been appreciated- said rooms booked under Crawley, Crawley-Till, Smith (x2) and restaurant under Cuniffe-Sharp..
