Good value simple room in central St Gallen. Convenient to the Via Jacobi and old town. I would definitely stay here again if ever in town.

Ich habe dieses Hotel ausgewählt, weil es nur wenige Schritte vom Bahnhof St. Gallen entfernt ist. Mein Gepäck konnte ich am Morgen im Sorell Boutique Hotel Weissenstein vis à vis einstellen lassen und am Abend wieder in Empfang nehmen. Die Lage ist ruhig und das Zimmer war sauber.
Decent location, good sized rooms.
Check in process was way too complicated, and the check in procedure is further complicated by being only available in German. I was eventually helped by a passing staff member who told me that my Booking.com reservation number was not applicable…I should have received a direct email from a sister hotel. This eventually arrived an hour later….and was again in German, this gave their separate booking reference. Compared to many other self book in hotels used on this trip, it was a frustrating joke. Parking nearby is difficult.

Sehr angenehme Unterkunft mit erfrischender Atmosphäre, gemütlichem Aufenthaltsraum incl. Kicker und der Möglichkeit sich einen Kaffee oder Tee zu machen. Fahrradabstellung auch problemlos möglich.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel David and truly enjoyed everything. The room was clean, the check-in process was smooth, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
It is worth noting that check-in starts at 4:00 PM, so it's good to keep that in mind when planning your arrival. However, the partner hotel across the street allows guests to leave their luggage, which was very convenient for us.
We also appreciated that coffee, tea, bottled water, a hairdryer, an ironing board, and an iron were all readily available, making our stay even more comfortable.
The breakfast served at the partner hotel was excellent, and the location itself is fantastic, with easy access to the city's main attractions.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Hotel David to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay.
