Great welcome from staff and a clean comfortable room
Pros:

Lovely view of the marina and close to my family that we were visiting.Lovely restaurant on site that we love,but book before you arrive or you will be disappointed.Food excellent,service so friendly, other hotels should send their staff here to learn about hospitality.

Cons:

Our room could have done with a lick of paint and bathroom needed some small repairs and a freshen up(shower screen stiff, paintwork needed painting,sealant around sink and shower needed re sealing,only small things.

Staff wanted
Pros:

The room was nice and clean enough, and the location on the motorway was good for us as we were travelling, but a bit in the middle of nowhere so depends on your needs. The hotel is cute with a nice view of the marina.

Cons:

We dropped off our bags early in the day, and when we returned to check in at 10pm, the front door was open with several guests at the restaurant/bar and there was no one at the reception. After waiting a while we realised they had left our room key in plain sight on the desk with our names, contact details (including address and email), along with a note that the luggage had been taken to the room. Anyone could have taken the key and then our luggage, which we found very odd and worrying.
There was also no one to be seen at the reception in the morning when we wanted to check out.
The lack of staff with all the doors open was a bit of a shame.
We wouldn't stay again for this reason.

Pros:

Moycarn lodge and marina is such a beautiful place to stay 😍

Cons:

Only issue was the bed had twin mattresses joined, a bit uncomfortable if I accidentally lay on the join, other than that everything was perfect ❤️
