Great location, breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice, staff very friendly 😀
Lovely hotel visited it about 25 years ago, and hotel still looking good. It seems as popular as it was on our first visit. Breakfast was very good, we served ourselves as we entered the restaurant area.
I was given a room that was extremely hot, there was fans, it was ground floor and was for persons requiring special assistance re bathroom/ shower/toilet. Lovely large room. I ordered a Sunday paper, when I checked out I was told that the company that delivers the papers did not deliver that day. I asked for a double bed, and received a email stating that I would have a double bed. We had twin beds.
The staff were excellent from the reception to the waiting staff friendly polite and professional.
Noisey golfers they're just noisey doughnuts.
When we arrived to our room the staff had made a welcome plate with Happy Anniversary and 50th birthday written in chocolate with some delicious treats. I found that very thoughtful and sweet.
I didn’t really care too much for the food. It was nicely prepared however I didn’t like the butter on my sandwich which spoiled it a little. The chocolate brownie that I ordered, was really hard and crumbly.
The golf
The evening restaurant meal. The waiter when going through the menu stated the supplement only applied to per paid deals. When the bill came they added the supplement charge. The waiter completely denied he ever said anything. The mattress in the bedroom is past its best. Room 128.
It was a good location and the staff were nice. The hotel was a bit dated and tired in appearance
The facilities were good but dated and tired in appearance.
This is a classy establishment and the staff were universally helpful throughout our two stays. The first room we had in the annex was on the ground floor, very good indeed, clean, spacious and quite cool considering the heat wave we were experiencing. We enjoyed the location and the views across the golf course. Indeed, we enjoyed it so much that we booked a return visit the next week to see more of the area including Bodiam Castle. The second room was upstairs in the main building but, while even more spacious, it was too warm for us to sleep well in the heat wave. We asked for a downstairs room which was a bit cooler. Throughout our stay the staff were courteous, friendly and exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy directly outside the building.
No one's fault but the upstairs room was just too warm during the 30+ summer temperatures.
Excellent reception staff
Bathroom was too tiny, tv signal reception was very poor.
