A gem
Pros:

This is a gem of a place lovely staff good food

Cons:

The only criticism is the room was far too hot and the fan provided didn’t make much difference. It would have been helpful if the window had been left open before arrival

They broken promise and ignored the confirmation of special request they approved. The staff in the reception was super caddish. Room is dirty as well.

Everything we needed and was a great location for our trip.

Very outdated, not very clean
Pros:

Outside the hotel was lovely

Cons:

I stayed in the honeymoon suite initially which seriously needs a makeover, not to forget the bedroom has a window directly into the reception/restaurant. Turned the shower on and it STUNK of sewage. Asked to move rooms, was placed in a smaller room which was fine but the door didn’t lock as the catch didn’t fit and could just be pushed open. Had to prop a door underneath the candle for the night because at this point I just couldn’t be bothered.

Lovely back garden, good food, comfortable bed and hidden away parking.
Pros:

Evening meal was lovely, not expensive and homemade bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

Sink in the room was draining slowly but that is a quick fix.

A great change from the usual bland big-brand hotels
Pros:

Warm welcome, nice and well prepared bedroom. Lovely towels, excellent breakfast. Looking forward to staying in the summer to enjoy a beer in the well-maintained gardens.
