Wonderful stay!!
Pros:

Loved it! Very quiet, calm, and it truly feels like home. All the staff are friendly and helpful, making you feel very welcome and comfortable throughout your stay. They are always ready to assist whenever you need them.

There is also evening tea served throughout your stay, accompanied by local delicacies, which is such a lovely touch.

A special shout-out to Zaini! She is super friendly and always checks on us to make sure we are comfortable and have everything we need.

The restaurant is also worth trying. They serve one of the best steaks — juicy, tender and delicious! The mushroom soup was excellent too. I only hope they can offer a little more variety in their main courses.

Overall, a lovely and peaceful stay with warm hospitality, good food, and a real home-away-from-home feeling.

Cons:

Weekend nights can be a little noisy as there are quite a few pubs around, but thankfully, the noise doesn’t get too loud or go on too late. Since the place is also close to the roadside, you can sometimes hear motorbikes revving as they pass by.

Other than that, it’s a peaceful and pleasant place to stay.

Might get something better elsewhere in Georgetown
Pros:

It’s a unique setup of this hotel, converted from a household setup into hotels. Historical feel

Cons:

The photo looks way better than our actual room. The floor is dusty and bed are not so comfortable. Everything needs a good deep cleanup. Shower even needs an upgrade, the sink didn’t work properly, I was always showing inside a pool of water.

A beautiful homely feeling with so much character and charm in an amazing location
Pros:

So much heritage charm, a beautiful relaxing haven after a day of sweaty exploring. Huge bathrooms, great art and decor. Staff very helpful and friendly. Second time staying at 23 LoveLane and would definitely stay again

Cons:

Breakfast buffet kept slightly more chilled (although I only got up for breakfast later)

Impeccable stay!
Pros:

Amazing stay! The rooms are beautiful and big, the furniture is beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the common areas were equally beautiful and the breakfast was also very good (and at a comfortable time!). If we are ever in Penang again, for sure we'll stay here again! All the staff and the hostess were lovely and helpful too!

Perfect Penang location for sightseeing
Pros:

Perfect location to walk around Penang, just off a main road. The bohemian vibe of the decor in rooms and lounge complements the Penang atmosphere. Thank you especially to Sal who was a great help with a small problem and her colleagues in the reception team whose friendly helpful attitude was lovely. If you fancy a perfectly cooked steak then try the restaurant.

Would stay again
Pros:

Beautiful place, really pretty and gives tranquil vibes. Staff incredibly friendly. Breakfast was basic but not bad, but nice to have the option if it's included anyway. Also very friendly cats who enjoy a pat if you see them lounging around.
Rooms were large and very comfortable. Room had AC and fan so kept cool easily without feeling stuffy.
Close to hawker centres, restaurants and convenience stores, but far enough away that it's quiet at night.
Walkable or cheap grab to most places.

Cons:

Nothing major. Only minor inconvenience is they ask you to leave your room key in a bowl when you go out so they can help keep track of when you're in or out of the property since it's only small. Not problematic though.

Pros:

A delightfully stylish and characterful hotel - all the staff were friendly and attentive, even the cats.

Cons:

In the heat of Penang a small pool would have been heaven - but it probably wouldn't be possible with such a small and homely hotel.
