Staf and location
The location in the middle of bathhouse row downtown Hot Springs is very convenient.
The furniture in the room is old and very worn out. The drawers in the chest of drawers barely open and one of the legs is broken.
You could walk town easily, nice to have direct access in room to the thermal waters, staff was friendly abd valet car service was nice, coffee room service was nice
Room was noisy, could hear kitchen staff, on weekends had to wait until 1000 to be able to get the brunch that was included in our room price, room could use an update and outdoor patio was unusable with dirty umbrellas, chairs and tables
Everything! Our suite was amazing. the beds were so comfortable and soaking in the tub with the famous Hot Springs water was luxurious.
Loved the town and its history.
The included breakfast was very yummy and plentiful.
Nothing
The hotel was amazing. Gorgeous room! So many nice touches: a carafe of ice cold water in the refrigerator, delicious cookies on the bedside tables, yummy breakfast in the morning and coffee delivered to your room at your specified time when you awoke! The staff was so kind and helpful. Loved every minute of our stay!
Can’t think of a thing.
The location is very good. The staff was as helpful as possible. Breakfast was excellent. The cleaning staff was thorough.
The bed was hard, the ac went out our final evening. The place is a bit shopworn.
We had a wonderful time at the Hot springs. The owner and his staff at The Hale made our stay fantastic! Having our own soaking tub and no time limits was beyond amazing 🤩 soak as long as you want.
Going on the hike up the mountain behind it and learning so many facts about the national springs was great !
Definitely worth going
Parking is a little issue along the street .However, our host had the problem solved with valet parking.
The breakfast was excellent.
The bedding needs to be replaced; it's too old.
Great location. Wonderful staff and great brunch
Nothing
My wife and I booked a “King Suite with Spa Bath” on Booking.com. We were surprised to get a room that felt very dark and claustrophobic as it had narrow windows that were very high and felt blocked by another building, There was kitchen noise from below and one could hear the occupants next door. The room did have a large bathtub with water from the hot springs. Unfortunately, this experience was dampened by our surprise at the room. I will note that the kitchen staff and breakfast were very good. Those who acted as waiters, waitresses, and porters (luggage) were each excellent.
Breakfast was good, but same small selection every day.
Breakfast selection.
The architecture, the old hard wood floors. The location. The staff is wonderful! The property is clean. The hot spring water bath right in our room!! This place is truly amazing!!
Nothing, there is nothing I didn’t like.
Amazing/beautiful place. It's an experience and the staff plus owner are extremely friendly. If you want to make a memorable trip, this is your place. Super comfortable beds, big beautiful room, and the hot springs tub in the room....so incredible. Thanks again to the owner and staff for making this place one to never forget.
We loved our stay. This old bathhouse was converted into a hotel and it is just right. Valet parking ($25) to start. A room with king bed and brick walls, bath with Hot Springs waters to soak in. Fluffy towels, rubber duck, coffee service, breakfast to order, bedside cookies and a carafe of cold spring water are all included. You can feel like a 1920s mogul in this hotel.
I really hope this place succeeds. Hot Springs needs nicer, central accommodations. The pluses: the staff is very attentive and very helpful. The location is outstanding. The restaurant brunch was first-rate. The bathrooms are lovely and the hot springs for a bug bath are terrific. That being said, for the price point (our room was over $400/night), this is not yet a luxury product. The room furnishings are adequate - metal chairs and a table, but no nice, comfortable chair to sit down. Same for all the other furnishings and decorations. The lobby is pleasant enough but not very inviting. The hotel has lots of rules, too, that get read to you before you check in, and then two staff accompanied us to the room to explain the rules. It felt very heavy-handed. In short, this place is on the way but it's not a luxury product, at least not yet, and for the price I think it should be.
I would love to visit again when the weather is better. I will NOT be making a reservation, though! I made a reservation - for a single night - the day before arrival. Twelve hours later, there were Tornado Warnings throughout the area and I tried to cancel. The owner's cancellation policy has ZERO exceptions - even for issues of public safety, even when you book directly through the hotel. I was able to reach the destination after all (several hours behind planned arrival) and did enjoy the soaking tub in my room. Would love to re-visit one day IF they happen to have day-of-arrival availability.
How friendly and informative everyone was.
We made our stay too short, not anyone at Hale Houses fault.
