Sehr zu empfehlen
Pros:

Sehr nette Gastgeber.
Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet (Auswahl verfügbar), Müsli, Toast und Marmelade gibt es zusätzlich.

Zimmer geräumig und sauber.
Das Restaurant ist aktuell geschlossen, im Pub gegenüber gibt es aber zumindest Freitags essen.
Ansonsten helfen die Gastgeber auch mit einer Liste an Restaurant und Lieferservice aus!

Lage ist gut um mit dem Auto nach Lacock Abbey, Avebury, Castle Combe oder Bath zu fahren.
Bei letzterem empfiehlt sich der lansdown Park &Ride Parkplatz anzufahren, günstiges Bus Ticket, parken inklusive.

Room size was good. Breakfast was nice.

Cons:

The carpet has a terrible odour.
We were in a room with two single beds and a double bed. All the mattresses are in desperate need of replacement.

A relaxing stay in a welcoming and comfortable hotel

Goed verblijf in the Cotswolds.
Pros:

Het is een prima onderkomen, met heel vriendelijk personeel. Het Engels ontbijt was goed, maar het continentale deel bleef hierbij wat achter.
Ik zag bij de recensies dat er nogal wat mensen waren die klaagden over dat je hier "s avonds niet kunt eten, maar dat vond ik onzin. De eigenaresse was door gezondheidsproblemen nu even niet in staat om ook nog het avondeten te kunnen verzorgen.
Maar in Chippenham zelf zijn er genoeg eetmogelijkheden, waar je dan wel met de auto heen moet. Maar bij terugkeer is er schuin tegenover een gezellige rustige pub, waar je dan alsnog prima een drankje kunt doen.

Cons:

Het bed was veel te kort en te smal voor mij (1,93mtr.), waardoor ik niet heel best heb kunnen slapen.
Omdat er ook nog een derde bed stond, was er voor het tweepersoonsbed eigenlijk te weinig ruimte.
Misschien een idee om dit extra bed te verwijderen en een groter tweepersoonsbed te plaatsen?

Cons:

We booked this pub under the illusion that it was a fully functioning pub but was told when we arrived that they were only open for B/fast . Nothing else in the town to eat had to travel out of town to find a place to have dinner and drinks .
