Staff exceptionally attentive and friendly
I can't think of anything
The property was neat and well organised. The staff were brilliant and quite helpful.
Got disturbed when the alarm went on for some time at midnight. I was trying hard to study for my exam and got really disturbed and inconvenienced. I hope it doesn’t happen next time when am there for more exams.
Cost and Location
Although I have rated the staff as good. Overall they where. But when I checked in, I could not remember if I had paid or not (Sometimes Booking.com take the money before, sometimes we pay at the hotel) So, I mention this at check in and am told all is good and given the room. At 12:30 AM the following morning I am woken by one of the security team banging on my bedroom door repeatedly. I was then frog marched down to reception to pay for the room. Was told that I could not wait until the morning.
When I complained in the morning, The girl on reception did an awesome job of calming me down and arranged for a refund, which I accepted and free breakfast/bar which I did not accept.
The Ibis Northampton is a pretty good hotel. I have stayed there three times now. The room is spacious, the facilities are good and the bed very comfortable. The nightly rate is good and the breakfast has a very good selection, including hot items. I plan to stay again in 2027. One very convenient thing about the hotel is that if you are arriving by train, the hotel is an easy 5-minute walk away from the station.
Clean, spacious rooms with basic amenities
It is not clear that you need to park at the Sol Central car park. This information is critical when arriving and planning your route as otherwise satnav takes you to the wrong place
Nice place, very close to everything. Cozy.
There was an incredibly handsome man doing some sort of service work the 15th when I arrived so that was a good sight too.
