Cons:

Pigeons in roof above us, dust (presumably from pigeons movement) on pillows! Pigeons on verandah outside room, including piles of manure.
Taps in room and breakfast room signposted unusable. Bathroom and toilets some distance from room.

It was an Australian pub stay experience. If they could get rid of the pigeons it would be better.
Pros:

The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were clean.

Cons:

The rooms were not ready for us when we arrived. Although the rooms were clean, unfortunately, the smell of pigeons' poop on the veranda outside our rooms permeated through to the rooms.

Die Frau am Empfang war freundlich, das Essen und Bier an der Bar gut. Die Decken in Flur und Zimmer hoch, die Betten gut hergerichtet und alles soweit sauber.

Cons:

Die Balkontür war wegen Einsturzgefahr abgesperrt, in der Zwischendeckes waren Tiere zu hören, das Badezimmer im Flur mit Rost Spuren.

Pros:

Close to Melrose, Pizza was great at the shop opposite the Hotel

Cons:

Terrible smell in the room, musty could not open windows, asked to have a different room which was a little better but still musty, next door to us spider web everywhere, our basin could not be used in our room no go, I guess yep $80 bucks, but I have to say this place really needs a tidy up, would not stay again

Glad it was only one night!
Pros:

It's central. Pub food was okay. Portion sizes were large.

Cons:

The whole place has a run down horror movie vibe. Paper thin walls so you could hear every other guest, including the pigeons on the roof. Communal showers ran cold, had the look of a third world prison.
