Great place to stay before getting ferry.
Pros:

Staff were brilliant. Room was comfortable and all amenities were provided. This was ideal for us getting the ferry the next day.

Cons:

We arrived late in the evening so was somewhat difficult to gain access. The phone number is on the side of the building however so if you end up in a similar situation just phone that.

What a great Pub with rooms to stay a few days
Pros:

Great room above the pub. Landlord(s) were absolutely brilliant and welcoming. The rooms are clean and spacious. There are enough place to eat nearby (Pub restaurant only open on certain days in the week, check up front).

Great hotel and good value for money.
Pros:

Very central to Stranraer so easy to walk around town, rooms were immaculate and clean, nice decor etc very modern,

Cons:

Nothing really, we were there when the weather was very warm so room was quite warm at night but this is not anything the hotel could have done to prevent we slept with windows open.

The perfect location and superb menu
Pros:

Derek the owner met us on arrival, and could not be more welcoming. My son has additional needs and he and his staff went above and beyond to do everything and anything to help make our stay comfortable. I highly recommend if staying going to the Royal Hotel's restaurant. The food and presentation of the food was superb. An excellent menu and everything was delicious. One of the best meals we had on our trip to Scotland. The rooms were so comfortable and we both slept excellently. It was the perfect location for getting in only few minutes to our ferry. Highly recommend

Pros:

Managed to check us in early as we were wedding guests which allowed us plenty time to get freshened up and ready after travelling. Perfect location, spotless and lovely staff - will recommend to all friends/family and will definitely be back. Thank you!

A very comfortable hotel and extremely reasonable priced.
Pros:

On check-in I was made very welcome by the owner Janet. She couldn’t have done enough for me. I found the hotel exceptionally clean, my bedroom was really nice and the bed very comfortable and cosy. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Cons:

I couldn’t leave my window open due to traffic noise but it wasn’t really a major issue and bearing in mind where the hotel is situated, it’s not something that can be changed.
