Es handelt sich um kleine Holzhäuschen - insgesamt vier auf dem Gelände, die sehr gut ausgestattet sind und einen schönen Balkon zum Fluss dahinter haben. Die Anlage ist gepflegt, mit wunderbaren Blumen und einem Pavillon, in dem man Frühstücken oder auch, nach Wunsch, Abendessen kann. Wir hatten ein Abendessen gebucht und waren sehr zufrieden damit. Die ganze Anlage ist abgelegen, fast wie im Dschungel, nur ca. 10 km vom Unawatuna Nationalpark entfernt. Es ist auch abends bzw. nachts alles gut beleuchtet. Das Holzhäuschen hat alles, was man braucht, abends kann man auf dem Balkon sitzen und dem Tierstimmen in der Natur lauschen - ganz wunderbar. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Sie organisiert auch Safaris in den Nationalpark zu angemessenen Preisen, so dass man keine Arbeit damit hat. Man wird direkt dort abgeholt und auch zurückgebracht.

Breakfast was provided for the safari in the form of a packed lunch, and next morning omelette and toast. Both were fine. Bhagya and her husband looked after us very well, they were polite, friendly and professional. The room matched the environment very well, with a lovely balcony to enjoy the evening after the safari. The whole property is well maintained with a simple restaurant area set a nice garden with plenty of wildlife. Very peaceful.
We didn't book our safari with the property but I think we would have had just as good a safari experience if we had.

Wir waren zwei Nächte in dieser traumhaft ruhigen und privaten Unterkunft. Es gibt absolut nichts auszusetzen. Der Blick von der Terrasse lädt zum Entspannen ein und die Safari war auch sehr schön.

We had an amazing stay at Wild Lake Side. The cabins by the river were beautiful and peaceful, and the whole setting felt magical—especially watching fireflies at night and birds during the day. Everything was very well organised, with activities thoughtfully planned and great value for the price. A truly memorable and relaxing experience, highly recommended.

A wonderful place to stay! The people are so hospitable and helpful. The food is amazing! They even arranged a taxi for us from Colombo Airport. They also took care of everything for the safari tour, including the driver and a delicious breakfast and lunch. It was a truly special experience in such a unique place! The cottage is very cozy, clean, and fully equipped. Highly recommended for everyone!! We also found Udawalawe National Park to be a truly amazing experience, seeing so many elephants in such beautiful natural surroundings!

Fantastische locatie. De kamer was heel schoon. Het uitzicht is geweldig, je kijkt uit op de rivier.. De familie die de 4 bungalows heeft is heel gastvrij en spreken goed engels. Ze hebben een fantastische safari voor ons geregeld. Ook is het ontbijt heel goed en ze hebben s avonds heerlijk voor ons gekookt. Een aanrader!

Wild Lake Side is an absolutely beautiful place to stay if you're visiting Udawalawe. It is so peaceful and the villas are lovely and nicer than the photos. They had air con so we could stay nice and cool, and a lovely balcony to sit and spot wildlife from.
The family who run it were so helpful with organising our activities (safari, going to the elephant orphanage) and all our travel etc. The dinner was also great.

Nous avons vraiment aimé, c'est un endroit magnifique, certainement le plus bel endroit que nous avons eu, tant pour le cadre que pour le logement. Nous avons apprécié la qualité des repas et la proximité du parc.

This accommodation is amazing! We loved the room. The bed and sheets were high quality. You even get a duvet! There’s an amazing view from the balcony where you can watch fish and turtles swim by. The sounds from surrounding wildlife is magical. The host was very accommodating. They booked our full day safari for us which was a very good price considering the value we got with the driver and the extras they arranged for us. They also sorted out our washing for us by taking it to a local laundry service which meant we could just simply enjoy our time there. We ate in the restaurant for two evening meals and breakfast. Everything was great. They offered us reasonably priced taxi transfers to and from the accommodation and offered to book us travel to the local town should we want to go. It was very good value for money!

Mooi gelegen tussen de peperplanten, aan de rivier. Heel veel vogels. Super aardige en behulpzame mensen. Zij kunnen safari voor je regelen. Lekker eten.

Beautifully set lodges in a wonderful garden with lots of banana and coconut palms and a small lagoon which the balconies overlook. We spotted many birds including kingfishers and turtles. You feel so much in the jungle it is wonderful. Very comfortable, hosts are kind and the food was delicious - both dinner and breakfast. They organised a wonderful safari in the Udawalawe National Park and our driver was fantastic, keeping us apart from other jeeps and explaining things - spotting elephants (including a 3 week old), peacocks, water buffalo, water monitors, wild boar, mongoose, crocodiles and many beautiful birds.
