Pros:

The location, and surrendering area, easy access to the main attractions and 3asy to find taxi or any other mode of transportation. And the staff was very kind, friendly and exceptionally service oriented. Food was not so bad, decent spred in the buffet as well.

Cons:

Rooms quality was very bad, they are very old, room amenities were dirty and old. We have booked a dou room but all basic items were in one pc only. Infact we had to change our orginally booked room due to the poor room quality and bad smells. Specially 6th floor required solid renovation compared to 5th floor.

Pathetic experience at The Ashok

The hotel was super bad and not at all value for money. The hotel is too old and most of the things are broken. The initial room given was not cleaned at all and everything was broken. On calling reception 3 times they changed. The new room's ac was not working and they did not fix it. They showed me other rooms but everywhere some or other problem was there. Noise cancellation was not there at all. Even a slight whisper outside the room will be audible in your room. Even curtains were broken preventing the room from getting dark. Towels were of very cheap quality. Hot water was not coming. Then the plumber came in and told me to waste water for 15 mins and then only hot water would come. Even their bedsheets were too small and not comfortable at all

Over all good...nice location and a majestic stay, need a serious upgrade
Pros:

Location of the hotel is excellent, we were upgraded to a suit room, however the hotel needs an urgent upgrade and badly needs a renovation, staff was pleasant. Surprising was that the room did not have a iron box and we had to go to a common area to iron our clothes, thats highly inconvenient. Major room overhauling is needed.

Cons:

Room size was pretty big but the decor was dated by more than a decade. The door corners were giving way and the gum was a unplesant sight. Lights were placed in a confusing way it was almost a hide and seek to see which switch operates which light.

Very nice hotel for a short business trip

Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection of options but more Western style dishes could be offered.

we love the place just the TV issue.

Cons:

The entertainment component is a bit lower because, in this day and age, guests need more freedom to watch the shows they want. In our experience, we were forced to watch old Dish TV, which was really, really boring. We had to survive with a boring atmosphere in our room, just talking to each other.
Just a suggestion, please upgrade the rooms with a smart TV. It doesn't cost much compared to the room price.
