Modern room located in the old town and 10 minutes walk from the closest beach.
Early check-in - the room was ready before 14:00 o’clock and we were able to make use of it.
There is no luggage room.
We received stained towels and the cleaning is not done properly in the room.
The room itself (3rd floor, “Gheorghe Hagi”) was well equipped and nicely furnished. No complaints there.
Access is the big issue, and it is not mentioned properly in the listing. The room is on the 3rd floor and the only way up is an extremely tight spiral staircase: many steps, sharp turns, and unbearable heat in the stairwell. Even as able-bodied person I struggled every single time. Going up and down was honestly a nightmare. Anyone with a heart condition, vertigo, balance problems, or simply a suitcase, needs to know this before booking. This deserves a clear warning in the property description.
The terrace, which is the main selling point in the photos, was in poor condition when we arrived: a black layer of dust and grime on the table and chairs, bird droppings, and upholstery you simply cannot sit on. I had to scrub the table hard just to be able to put down a glass and my phone. There was no sun umbrella either (in fact we were asked to carry one up to the floor ourselves)
Breakfast is served in the bar on the ground floor, apparently by someone from the family. The first thing we were asked each morning was “Are you checking out today?” and everyone around us seemed to get the same greeting. Not a pleasant way to start the day. We were then watched closely throughout the whole meal, which made the atmosphere strange and uncomfortable. The coffee was terrible; the espresso machine apparently isn’t used for breakfast guests.

Beautiful room and views in a city centre location. Loved the good sized living area and balcony with comfy chairs. AC was a blessing! Simple, tasty breakfast included. Coffee in the room and welcome chocolates added to the experience.
Missing a bottle opener / corkscrew. Stairwell is tight, so be prepared. No luggage storage facilities.
The location was excellent, the breakfast was not rich but sufficient and the woman was very pleasant and helpful.
The air conditioning was not strong enough and the hot water ran out very quickly. Especially if there is a bathtub that is supposed to have enough hot water to fill it. In practice, we were not able to fill more than a third of the bathtub with hot water.
The property was conveniently located and the decor was very modern.
It was a bit cramped for 2 people and there really was no engagement with staff at breakfast but this may be due to a language barrier.
Great overall experience, really enjoyed the view on the terrace, breakfast was excellent. Impresed by the room design and attention to detials.
There isn't a thing I can say, maybe the fact that the building has no elevator and we staied at the top floor and there's ne elevator, but that is expected in old buildings so not a problem for us.
