Cons:

Although the hotel is beautiful, with a peaceful design surrounded by nature and rainforest scenery, my responsibility as a father of young children compels me to warn other families about a very serious issue.

The pool restroom attendant displayed extremely aggressive and alarming behavior toward children. He repeatedly shouted at kids in a hysterical and intimidating manner, angrily moved furniture around, and even kicked chairs in frustration. His actions created fear and panic among the children instead of the safe and welcoming environment that any hotel should provide.

Guests come to a hotel expecting relaxation and security, especially when traveling with their families. Unfortunately, this employee’s behavior had the exact opposite effect. Such uncontrolled outbursts raise serious concerns about guest safety, particularly in a remote location where access to emergency services may not be immediate.

I reported the matter directly to the hotel manager, Vivian, but it appeared that the situation was not being effectively addressed or controlled.

Please note that I have photographic evidence of the incident and am willing to provide it to Booking.com, hotel management, or any relevant party that wishes to verify the facts.

Totally disappointed! It's in a strategic location! VERY POORLY MANAGED!
Pros:

The only thing I liked about this resort is the location, ie, it is only about 10-15 minutes walk to the Kuala Tahan jetty! It has the potential to attract many more customers ONLY if it is better managed!

Cons:

Everything else is BAD! If I can, I would rate this as ZERO star! Things I don't like:
1) Reception is terrible! They cannot answer a lot of questions, most of their answers are standard - I don't know! When you call the reception, they don't answer their phone at all!
2) Breakfast is terrible! They serve the same food every morning. Even then, their food is bad, it seems they don't take pride in their food! For example, fried noodles and fried rice are just bare bones fried noodles and fried rice! No veggies or meat in the fried noodles at all!
3) Their restaurant is very poorly managed. For days when they do not serve buffet dinner, they serve set dinner. When asked what's the menu for the set dinner, they do not know! They only know that it costs RM30/pax for the set dinner and the buffet dinner!
4) The chalets are actually quite nice, but the sound insulation is poor. In the middle of the night, we can hear noises from the next room, eg, coughing, etc! Also, the shower pressure is exceptionally low / small! It takes at least 20 minutes or more to have a good shower!
5) When I crossed the river (after my stay at Mutiara) with a BIG luggage bad, I tried to call the reception for a pickup to the resort, but totally nobody answered the phone! Hence, I had to drag my HUGE luggage bag up the hill to the resort!

Die Lage zum Fluß ist super, bei allen anderen würde ich den negativen Rezensionen vertrauen.

Cons:

Alles war sehr veraltet. Wasser und Schimmelflecken im Zimmer und im Bad. Moskito Netze waren kaputt. Unsere Verbindungstür zur Hütte nebenan ließ sich von unserer Seite nicht schließen und war offen, für zwei Frauen die alleine Reisen fühlte sich das nicht sicher an. Das Personal konnte wenig Englisch, was eigentlich kein Problem ist aber sie waren auch nicht wirklich Hilfsbereit oder bemüht.

Pros:

Schöne Bungalowanlage in guter Lage, etwas abseits aber dennoch schnell im Ort. Frühstücksbuffet hatte eine gute wechselnde Auwahl. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Cons:

Poolanlage ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Abdeckungen der Filteranlage fehlten, was gefährlich werden könnte.
Personal machte manchmal den Anschein etwas ratlos zu sein.
Bei den Bungalows mit Poolblick ist zu beachten, dass die Aussicht auf die Berge aktuall von Baustellen beeinträchtigt wird, was auch hörbar ist. (Stand 06/26)

It was nice there was a swimming pool and breakfast buffet. The bed were comfy.

Cons:

My room was full with mold, especially the bathroom. All the bedsheets had stains in them. When I arrived the trash bin was full and was not emptied until two days later.

Très bon séjour à Kuala Tahan
Pros:

J’étais seul dans le dortoir de 4pers à 2 reprises
Piscine de bonne qualité, bonne température
Petit dej copieux en buffet très bon
Localisation très proche à pied 5min des restos et bateau, juste à côté des bus
Climatisation, savon, serviette

Cons:

Quelques fourmis dans le dortoir mais c’est pas grand chose

Gewoon een goed hotel, schone kamer, goede bedden.
Pros:

Rustige, schonekamer. Elke dag nieuwe handdoeken, water, toiletpapier. Ook hotel was gunstig gelegen. Op loopafstand van alles.Waren bijna geen andere gasten. Zwembad was heerlijk om af te koelen! Prima ontbijtbuffet.

Cons:

Ze schijnen ermee bezig te zijn, renoveren. Maar nog niet alles is gedaan. Komt vast goed. Zou me er niet door laten tegenhouden. Pool tafel mag wel vervangen worden 😉
