5+ stars
Pros:

After an awful experience at another hotel that couldn’t provide us with the room we had already booked, we called Chesford Grange Hotel at around 11 pm to see if they had any rooms available. Thankfully, they did, and we headed straight over.

Dean and the other staff gave us such a warm welcome from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made us feel at ease after what had been a really stressful evening.

The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and I finally had a great night’s sleep!

A huge thank you to Dean (superstar!) and the whole team for helping us out so late at night and making us feel so welcome. We really appreciate everything you did and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Nice country hotel near to all main routes in the area
Pros:

Nice country hotel, but try to avoid times when weddings or conferences are on.

Cons:

Aircon didn't work in room so was extremely uncomfortable. Refund was issued without question by Gavin, FOH Manager.

Not the best, although the staff made up for the shortcomings and were apologetic, but didn’t seem particularly surprise
Pros:

The setting was nice for a break out in the countryside, and close enough to nearest towns. Nice decor inside, rooms ok sized.

Cons:

The food from the evening menus from both of the restaurants was average to poor; the breakfast buffet was ok and comprehensive. Waiting staff very apologetic about the food and didn’t charge for the inedible dishes ( soft-shell crab and caesar salad ). The air conditioning in the room above was noisy and vibrated the walls of our room, and the bathroom, although clean, had a non-working fan and smelt of drains. The reception staff on check-out gave a discount of 10% as a result. The spa pool hours were a bit restrictive and prioritised to “children’s splash-time” on the day we stayed ( Friday pm - Sat am ), so we couldn’t use the pool - we only found this out after we had booked.
