staff in the restaurant were delightful.
Room was a bit shabby compared to competitors, and I have had challenges contacting the hotel about a lost item since our stay.
Comfortable bed, powerful shower, easy to reach off motorway, great value breakfast.
No blind on velux window directly over bed so (room 17) so woken early by light.

First time I stayed at a toby carvery and never again, first of had the carvery, yes you have to queue the wait in this one was painful only around 15 people in front menand took 30 minutes, 3 times the carver had to replace 3 joints, gone 5 minutes each time, someone should bring it out to him like the veg, but still not put off
What really did it for me was I came down for breakfast gave the gentleman my room and he said here's your mug, so I said do I find my own table and get my own food, he said yeah. No cereals, not even orange juice

The breakfast was only a cooked breakfast- although there was lovely choice and plenty of it. Limited to one fruit juice per person! Weird.

I stay here on a semi-regular basis. You are always secure in knowing that you will have a good night's sleep, after an enjoyable and satisfying meal, to be followed by a substantial breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day. Staff are always pleasant and helpful.
