A life saver for me and certainly saved me checking into a souless T-lodge for 3X the price
Pros:

Pretty scary location but good once in. Super helpful staff on site - Rob. Spacious room with own facilities so no sharing.

Cons:

You can't change your area. Plenty of 21st century people here. I was fine and probably everyone is but a bit intimidating if you are not used to it. Central enough to walk and Google always knows the way.

Not a place to relax

Cons:

The room was very dirty. There was stains in the bed sheets and in the towels as well. The noise from the street was very strong and I couldn't sleep. The walls of the room was very thin and it was like I was sleeping with my neighbour. All the property stinks onions and curry.

The bed was comfy

Everything needed a good clean. Fridge smelt of weed and wasn't plugged in. The sink in bathroom leaked . The shower door was off the runners so unusable. Blinds broken . Loose wires everywhere. Plug sockets loose . Everywhere needs updating no matching furniture and all smelt very musty and nowhere to hang clothes. Needs a good makeover. No reception desk just a door marked private . No phone in room to to contact reception . Proprietor basically gave us the key to the room and WiFi password with door number to get back in and that's all we saw of him . Wasn't even there to say goodbye or asked if everything was OK. I know it was only £55 for the night but definitely would not go back and would not reccomend for family. Area felt very unsafe . Lots of lads on bikes with masks. We were there for a show at the old savoy theatre and walked there and didn't feel safe getting there had a uber back.

Nothing, the rooms on pictures are not those what you will get.
The bathroom was clean though.

Nothing, the whole place looks dodgy, it feels suspicious and staff did not even understand that I had a reservation.
Rooms are dirty and the carpet is all ripped and dirty.
There are holes in the the carpet and floor.
Health and safety concerns everywhere, a fridge next to the bed with a microwave on top.
Staff told me that there was a code to open the front door at night but when I came back the hotel was shut and there was a lock at the main gate, I have called the staff who cane to open the door quite upset because they were sleeping.
Hot water works only from 8:30 am, if you would like to take a shower and leave early, you can't.

The room was quite dirty, dirty skirting, carpets, and filthy fan, and old fridge. The sink leaked water all over the floor and we were also locked out when we got back from a night out.

Pros:

Everything was good tbh, worth the money. They also gave me a early check - in as i was travelling from Scotland.
Staff where cool and accommodating.

Cons:

Tv Aerial wasn't great, but i brought my Firestick with me so wasn't an issue. Would advise bringing one if you have one
