Centrally located and reasonable value for money
Pros:

The property was centrally located in Whitchurch with everywhere within walking distance.
The cleaner and the host were very helpful providing extra pillows and fans.
The room was generally clean although not spotless.
The bathroom was “cosy” but perfectly functional.
Overall the property represented reasonable value for money.

Cons:

On entry you were aware it was in the catering area of the restaurant, although once in the room this was not the case. Dust in the bathroom extractor fan and the fan provided in the room required cleaning.

It’s our second stay, rooms are not big but supply everything you need for a short stay.
Pros:

Easy parking, centrally located, clean & tidy.

Cons:

The room was very warm but it was during one of the 2026 heat waves so everyone was suffering and they did supply a small fan.

Brkft not included but we appreciated the cereal & milk, small croissants and chocolate bars with coffee! Location was good, restaurants nearby, didn’t have to pay for parking from 6pm-8am
Bed good/ pillows not!

Cons:

Birds were catching on the roof tiles throughout our stay-annoying!
Found one live silver fish on the bed sheet when we arrived-checked around, didn’t find anymore!

Overall, exceeded my expectations
Pros:

Car park across the road was convenient. As the pay machine didn't work, also free!
Room and bathroom very clean and well-appointed.
Facilities (water, milk, coffee, etc), good.

Cons:

In the bathroom, the shaving mirror light didn't work, and the loo roll holder became detached.

Very relaxed and comfortable.
Pros:

Almost everything was perfect comfortable clean housekeeping every day if wanted. There was a fridge for guest use on the landing,and a fan in the room Really central. Easy checking and out.

Cons:

The only negative bits were that the lock on the outside door wasn’t easy to negotiate - it has a habit locking up and is a bit low on the door to see easily - especially if it’s late at night and your hands are full.
Also specific to room 2. It is over the kitchen and roasting hot in summer, but in the winter that might be a benefit…

Night before wedding
Pros:

Stayed here with 6 groomsmen the night before my wedding Easy access, no messing around checking in. All rooms are kitted out with everything you need. Location great and only a short walk from pubs as we were fortunate enough to have England Vs Croatia to watch at the Watergate pub.

Conveniently located comfortable stay
Pros:

The modern, clean and comfortable property is located right in the middle of Whitchurch. Whilst it is room only, a very basic breakfast is provided in the room. For its location and amenities it was very good value for money.

Cons:

The room was uncomfortably hot and we believe that this might be partially due to uncontrollable underfloor heating in the bathroom? Whatever the cause, the hot room is obviously a known problem as it has been reported before and there is a good electric fan provided. However…!

We would use the pepper street rooms again, and we would recommend this to others.
Pros:

The DIY breakfast was adequate.
The hospitality tray was generous.
The shared fridge was useful .
The bed was comfortable , and all areas were clean .

Cons:

Just the tricky code pad to enter the building once the resteraunt was closed. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't .
