Pros:

Very quaint, at top of hill, looking down over city, soft but comfy bed, great pillows. Personal nespresso maker in the room was nice touch. (Glad because I wouldn't have taken coffee in my room or at all due to the flying insects)

Cons:

Bugs all out in the stairwell, dead insects all over stairs, room was on the top floor and the flying insects (flies and bees) were all over the rafters alive, but ended up dead all over the stairs. None of the windows in the room had screens, so windows could not be opened for air, unless I wanted the insect problem from the stairwell into my room. The shower door and glass were not sealed which resulted in water all over the bathroom floor. The breakfast was cold cuts and bread, I am learning is a European breakfast, all items I do not eat (this is not the hotels fault) but finding actual breakfast food out is also next to impossible in this region.

Incantevole, era per lavoro ma sembrava una vacanza. Tornero.
Pros:

Stupendo in tutto e per tutto. Colazione semplice ma completa. Posizione favolosa sopra S.Gallo con vista magnifica e silenzio rilassante. Il cnetro raggiungibile a piedi in 5 minuti con la funicolare. Lo consiglio.

Cons:

Non c'è nessuno la notte.

Charming stay above St. Gallen
Pros:

Beautiful location above city of St. Gallen with wonderful views across the city sprawling hills and lake Konstanz. The room was large, beautifully decorated with lots of natural lights. A small parking for the hotel and restaurant was a stone throw away.

Cons:

The breakfast room is too small. There are 5-6 rooms in this hotel I believe and there is only space for the equivalent of 2 rooms to enjoy breakfast at a single time.

Pros:

The room is clean, big, with great view. The shower is also big, soaps & slippers are provided. Also Nespresso and teas.
We had dinner in the adjacent restaurant, it was really good!

Cons:

Breakfast is not up to the standard of the room. It is self service from the fridge with brötchen. I wonder why don't they use the restaurant facilities.

Lage, Haus & Zimmer ausserordentlich schön, aber zu teuer für den Frühstücks-Selfmadeservice:-)
Pros:

Das schmucke Haus und die Zimmer waren wunderschön, geräumig und ausserordentlich sauber. Die Betten waren mega bequem, die Aussicht über die Stadt St. Gallen genial. Genügend gratis Parkplätze waren ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Hotel liegt nicht direkt in der Stadt, sondern am Stadtrand, was eine schnelle Ausfahrt aus der Stadt ermöglicht, das kam uns sehr entgegen. Irgendwie haben wir das bei der Buchung nicht gesehen, dass es keine Reception hat. Das fanden wir ungewohnt, hat aber soweit gut geklappt. Die erste Nacht war es unglaublich ruhig und wir haben super geschlafen. In der zweiten war vom Stadtfest St. Gallen die Musik zu hören und der Lärmpegel leicht erhöht, aber tolerierbar. Insgesamt für 2 Nächte super.

Cons:

Was uns nicht so gefallen hat, war der Selbstbedienungs-Frühstückservice, das erinnerte etwas an eine Jugendherberge. Das Frühstück selber war soweit gut, aber jetzt auch nicht herausragend im Vergleich zu anderen gleichwertigen Hotels ähnlicher Preisklasse (zumal es ja nebenan ein Restaurant hätte, welches zur Falkenburg gehört, soweit wir das verstanden haben). Der Frühstücksraum war hübsch, aber eher klein und eng, sobald sich mehr als 2 Personen darin aufhielten. Wenn jemand im Restaurant essen will, unbedingt weeeeit im Voraus reservieren! Also nicht erst nach Ankunft im Hotel, dann ist nix mehr frei und für die Hotelgäste nichts vorreserviert.

Thrilled we found this place to stay during our visit to St. Gallen. It sits just above town but close enough to access
Pros:

Very nice rooms mixed with old charm and modern amenities. The room was large and comfortable. Thoughtful touches like slippers and bottled water, coffee and tea in the room were a huge plus. Breakfast was great.

We liked everything.

Pros:

La chambre est très confortable et calme avec une petite vue sur le lac. L’hôtel a beaucoup de charme. Le petit déjeuner est agréable encore plus lorsqu’il est pris sur la terrasse. J’ai pu croiser une partie de l’équipe bien que tout soit fait pour être autonome, et elle était très sympathique.
