No response to two emails and one phone message asking for upstairs room; after many attempts I did get someone on the phone and they were very helpful, as was the person on reception when I checked in. Air conditioning not working.

Extremely grim, not very clean… there was some bug on the bed. Carpeted rooms??? Not the best idea for hygiene. Very hot! Tried to turn AC on, not working, tried to call reception…. Telephone not working…..
The property itself was good. It was clean. They just seem to be an unusual amount of men sitting outside the front door smoking and drinking on the stairs.
The friendliness of the reception and catering staff was exceptional, so friendly yet professional, nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our stay worth while. Thank you.
No anti slip mat in the shower and no shaving mirror and the lighting in thw bathroom left my face in the shadow.
